Civil Rights, Title VI & ADA
The Greater Madison MPO and the City of Madison, which serves as the MPO's administrative and fiscal agent, are committed to ensuring that no person is excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or otherwise discriminated against under any program or activity based on race, color, or national origin, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987.
Title VI Plan
The Greater Madison MPO does not receive funding directly from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). As a result, it is not required to maintain a Title VI Plan under FTA Circular 4702.1B.
The MPO coordinates with Metro Transit, the FTA's direct recipient in the Greater Madison area, to help ensure compliance with Title VI requirements. Title VI complaints may be filed with the Greater Madison MPO, the City of Madison, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, or the FTA.
