Monthly Parking Permits
Program Information
A monthly parking permit reserves space in the garage or lot, even if the "full" sign is illuminated. There are no assigned parking stalls, permit holders should park in any legal stall in the lot or garage.
- Monthly parking permits are a minimum of a 30-day agreement
- State Street Campus Garage is a 90-day agreement for the 24/7 permit

Cancellation
A 30-day cancellation notice is required to discontinue your participation in the permit program.
- The notice may be completed in person, by postal mail to the Parking Division, or sent to MonthlyParking@cityofmadison.com.
- Please return all issued cards and hangtags by the 15th of the month to avoid a $10 Lost Card Fee.
Permit Types:

Monthly Daytime parking permits
valid in most facilities from 4:00 am – 10:00 pm, Monday – Friday

Unlimited 24/7 permits
unlimited access to a chosen parking garage

Monthly Overnight parking permit
valid in most facilities from 6:00 pm – 7:00 am, 7 days a week

The resident rate is available to residents of the City of Madison with proof of residency.
How to Obtain a Monthly Permit
To obtain a monthly parking permit, email MonthlyParking@cityofmadison.com.
In your email, please include the following information:
- Desired Start Date
- Preferred Garage or Lot location
- Permit type (please see above)
Next Steps
- An application will be sent from the Parking Division
- You will be notified when your permit is ready

Waiting List
A waitlist is maintained for all garage locations and permits are offered based upon availability.
Please contact MonthlyParking@cityofmadison.com, to be added to the waitlist.
Payment
First month proration (if applicable) and the first full month payment is required prior to permit activation.
Monthly payments are required to arrive prior to the 1st of the month.
Payments can be made via the following methods:
- Online resident payment portal. (Auto-Pay available)
- Pay in person at the Parking Division Office
- Mail the payments to the Parking Division Office

Use the invoice number from your emailed billing statement and submit payment through the General Billing Invoice tab on the resident payment portal.
