The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 06/13/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 06/14/2024, MPD received 488 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (81), East (95), Midtown (89), North (83), South (51), West (74), and Other (15). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

CENTRAL: Trespass – 2:57 am. Officers responded to Festival Foods where the 36-year-old female suspect was present and armed with a sword despite being banned from the premises. The suspect was arrested for trespassing. (This call did not make the previous 24-hour cycle.)

MIDTOWN: Trespass – 10:05 am. Officers responded to a residence where the 37-year-old female suspect was present despite being banned from the premises. The suspect was arrested and charged with resisting, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia.

SOUTH: Domestic Disturbance – 1:37 pm. Officers responded to a residence where the 21-year-old male suspect broke a door, grabbed the victim and threw her on a bed during an argument. The suspect was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and damage to property.

EAST: Traffic Crash – 3:40 pm. Officers responded to a car versus tree crash in the area of Milwaukee St and Rustic Dr. A caller to dispatch reported that a man and woman fled from the vehicle. Officers made contact with the man involved in the crash. Investigation continuing.

EAST: Check Person – 5:40 pm. Officers responded to the Dutch Mill Park and Ride where a 51-year-old male suspect was causing a disturbance on a bus. After being removed from the bus, the suspect repeatedly called 911. The suspect was eventually transported to a hospital where he became combative. The suspect was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting, and unlawful use of 911.

WEST: Damage to Property – 8:12 pm. A car rental company reported that a vehicle was returned with damage from gunfire. The vehicle was towed to the MPD vehicle impound facility for processing.

MIDTOWN: Disturbance – 8:52 pm. Officers responded to the underground parking area at Target where a man and woman were arguing. Officers determined the man had a warrant so he was transported to the jail. No new charges were substantiated.

CENTRAL: Disturbance – 11:41 pm. Officers responded to the intersection of John Nolen Dr and Rimrock Rd where a vehicle was stopped in the road with a man attempting to pull a woman out of the car. The man then struck the outside of the vehicle several times before getting back in the car which continued traveling northbound. Officers located the car at a residence downtown. Upon entering the residence officers arrested a 67-year-old male suspect who was charged with domestic disorderly conduct, resisting and obstructing. A 46-year-old female suspect was arrested on a warrant.
