Incident in the North Lawn Area

Today around noon the Traffic Enforcement and Safety Team was running a traffic project on Packers Ave when one of the vehicles did not stop for the officer.   A short time later the vehicle was seen on E Washington Ave and short pursuit occurred.  The vehicle stopped after a tire went flat and a foot pursuit occurred in the area of North Lawn.   Suspect was captured and arrested on a number of charges and a handgun was recovered from the vehicle.   There were 10-15 officers involved in this incident.
