Transit Equity Day

On Wednesday, February 4, Metro Transit joins organizations nationwide to celebrate Transit Equity Day. A National Day of Action that commemorates the birthday of the iconic civil rights leader, Rosa Parks, by declaring public transit a civil right. In addition to advocating for safe, affordable, accessible, and sustainable public transit as a civil right. It highlights the need for equitable transit services and, for 2026, focuses on the theme "Transit Moves Democracy".
