Metro staff will discuss a number of proposed bus stop updates for this upcoming construction season at the City of Madison Transportation Commission meeting on Wednesday, April 24 at 5:00 pm.
Approximately 250 bus stops are impacted by updates this year. Updates range from adding accessibility features like bus stop pads, to removing or relocating stops.
Changes will not occur all at once. All updates will be complete by the end of 2024.
Stop updates are proposed to:
- Incorporate larger, articulated buses into service.
- Make stops accessible.
- Work with new construction projects.
- Make pedestrian upgrades.
- Speed up service and make it more reliable.
