The RoundTrip program and Madison BCycle are partnering to host beginner-friendly “how-to" group rides focused on helping community members build the basic skills and confidence they need to use BCycle bikeshare to get to work, school, appointments, and other everyday destinations.
Each ride includes practical, hands-on guidance, including:
- A walk-through of the Madison BCycle app and how to get a pass
- Orientation to the features of BCycle e-bikes and tips for safe riding
- Trip planning tools and resources
- Information about the Dane County Emergency Ride Home program for commuters who don't drive alone to work/school
- Other transportation topics tailored to your group
Madison BCycle will deliver bikes to your starting location and provide discounted rates for participants at $15 per bike ($225 for a full group of fifteen riders). RoundTrip Greater Madison will help plan the route, coordinate event details, and provide on-site staff support.
If your group is a nonprofit needing financial assistance, the RoundTrip program may be able to provide support as funding is available.
How-to rides are up to five miles in length and limited to 15 riders to ensure a good experience for everyone. Your group recruits participants and we'll help with the rest!
