Course Description

Harassment in the workplace can be a form of illegal employment discrimination. This course provides Mandatory Reporters with a greater understanding of:

  • The City's APM 3-5, Prohibited Harassment and Discrimination Policy.
  • Identify the Roles and Responsibilities of the Mandatory Reporter.
  • Analyze harassing behaviors and understand their impact on workplace culture.
  • Understand our APM 3-5 investigation process.

We place emphasis on increasing sensitivity to what is or is not a violation of APM 3-5. And we cover why immediate, constructive response is crucial.

This course is mandatory for Mandatory Reporters. Folks must take this training within 45 days of hire or promotion, and every three years following.

Presented by: Ana Price - Department of Civil Rights
