Common Council approved the plans, specifications, and schedule of assessments for Buffalo Trail, Barron Court, and Green Lake Pass on 5/6/2025. The project team continues to work through design. Construction will be in spring of 2026 to accommodate a gas main replacement by Madison Gas & Electric in early 2026.

Project Overview
The City is planning construction on Buffalo Trail, Barron Court, and Green Lake Pass The project includes full removal and replacement of the asphalt pavement, gravel base, driveway ramps, curb and gutter, installation of new storm sewer, and spot replacement of sidewalk. Sanitary main and laterals will be replaced on Buffalo Trail between Door Drive and N Eau Claire Ave.

Common Council approved the plans, specifications, and schedule of assessments for Buffalo Trail, Barron Court, and Green Lake Pass on 5/6/2025. The project team continues to work through design. Construction will be in spring of 2026 to accommodate a gas main replacement by Madison Gas & Electric in early 2026.
April 18, 2025 Update
The Board of Public Works (BPW) approved the plans, specifications, and schedule of assessments for Buffalo Trail, Barron Court, and Green Lake Pass on 4/16/25. The project team also presented and received approval from the BPW for the proposed 30 ft street widths. The project will be on the Common Council agenda on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
Next steps include finalizing the design, plans, and specifications in preparation for advertising the project for contractor bids in late May 2025.
