
Credit Cards on buses
The credit card function is now live on all buses.
However, it’s for the standard $2 fare only.
- Riders tap contactless cards just like a Fast Fare card on the reader.
- Accepts Mastercard, Visa, Samsung, Apple and Google Wallets
- It works just like a Fast Fare card.
- Riders get the 2-hour transfer, and adult fare capping
- Riders need to use the same physical card or same virtual wallet card to get the fare capping. You can’t use your physical card one time, then use that card in Google wallet. Fare capping is tracked separately per item.
- There is no need to issue a paper transfer,
Half-price fare option is not yet available
- This feature is still a few weeks out.
- To get half-price fare, riders should keep using Fast Fare cards
Some riders are calling the call center because they are holding up wallets with a Fast Fare card and credit card.
The reader will accept the closest card or give a CARD CLASH error.
