MPD officers go to great lengths to build relationships with residents in the communities where they work. These connections pay dividends for the department, helping us work with residents to improve neighborhoods.
Earlier this week, Off. Caleb Johnson (neighborhood officer for the Theresa/Hammersley area) set up some temporary basketball hoops in the neighborhood for some street basketball. Neighborhood kids enjoyed the opportunity to have some fun with Off. Johnson and other West District officers. MPD officers do a great job every day of reaching out to the community; this is just one example.
