We are committed to creating safer streets for everyone—whether you're walking, biking, taking transit, or driving. Our ambitious goal is to achieve zero roadway fatalities and serious injuries by 2040 through supporting transportation projects that prioritize safety and equity.
Regional Safety Action Plan
To help us meet this goal, we developed and adopted the Regional Safety Action Plan in July 2024. This data-driven blueprint outlines strategies to reduce traffic-related fatalities and serious injuries across the region. Key focus areas include prioritized infrastructure improvements, outreach and education campaigns, and policy changes aimed at making our transportation network safer for all roadway users.
