Transit Development Plan
The Transit Development Plan (TDP) serves as a roadmap for enhancing public transportation over a five-year period. It identifies current transit needs and outlines proposed improvements to better serve the community.
The Greater Madison MPO leads the development and maintenance of the TDP in close collaboration with Metro Transit and other local transit providers. This planning process ensures that transit services remain accessible, efficient, and responsive to the region’s evolving needs.
Our Current Plan
2025-2029 Transportation Development Plan
The MPO Policy Board adopted the 2025-2029 Transit Development Plan at its February 2025 meeting. This plan does not include any recommendations or updates to service planning guidelines. These will be developed and adopted separately later this year.
