Course Description
This workshop offers supervisors an opportunity to participate in hands-on exercises to practice principles covered in the Hiring Foundations for Supervisors training session. In this workshop, you will practice writing position descriptions and see firsthand how minimum qualifications affect the application screening process. If you have not participated in the Hiring Foundations for Supervisors training, you can still attend but need to view that recorded session as part of the pre-work.

Learning Objectives
- Create a clear Position Description.
- Understand the importance of minimum qualifications through the application screening process and the overall hiring process.

- Review Creating an Equitable Hiring Plan (1 hour, 12 minutes)
- Review Hiring Foundations for Hiring Managers (1 hour, 45 minutes)
- Watch this short video on Writing Position Descriptions (17 minutes, 47 seconds)
