Scheduling Meetings
The Legistar web portal provides public access to meetings, including a calendar of meetings. In order for meetings to appear in the calendar, they must be scheduled within Legistar.
NOTE: The Legistar calendar functions separately from the meeting schedule on the City Hall website; it is necessary to schedule meetings in both locations. Follow the instructions in Knowledge Base to create meetings for the City Hall meeting schedule.
Follow the steps below to schedule one or more meetings in Legistar.
- Click Agendas in the left menu to open the Agendas module. The Calendar tab displays.
- Click New to create the meeting for which you want to generate an agenda.
Legistar auto-populates meeting details using default settings for each field.- Select the correct meeting body from the Agenda for the drop-down menu.
- Change the date to the date of the meeting.
Review and modify, if needed, the settings for the Location and Time fields.
NOTE: Legistar defaults to Draft in the Status field.
- Select Save in the top left-hand side of the window.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each additional meeting date.
Legistar populates the schedule with the new information. The new meeting date(s) are available when it is time to generate the agenda for the meeting.
