2024 Leadership Gathering
Balanced Leadership: Mastering workload while sustaining employee wellbeing.

This gathering reflected our collective commitment to navigating the challenges of leadership with intention, care, and collaboration. This gathering met leaders where they were and helped leaders build the skills to carry teams forward without burning out along the way.
Why this gathering was needed:
Throughout 2024, the same challenges that surfaced as a result of the 2023 Leadership Gathering continued to emerge through Employee and Labor Relations, the Supervisory Collective, and OD consults. Those challenges were as follows:
- Workload management, balance, and burnout
- Navigating change and change management
- Creating a culture of feedback
The 2023 gathering identified these needs and the 2024 theme was chosen in direct response.
What we focused on:
- Keynote by Rachel Krinsky of RK Advising
- This keynote explored evidence-based techniques for reducing the impact of stress and burnout with particular attention to employees with marginalized identities and practical pathways toward greater joy and less stress at work.
- Hands-on session by Max Spohn of Harvard
- Max led a live Policy Bot demonstration showcasing how AI can be used to generate evidence-based strategies for reducing burnout and managing workload
