Related Files
Legistar files contain a field on the Associations tab which allow you to create a link to one or more related files. When this feature is utilized, users of the Legistar web application can easily view a related file through the provided link(s).
In the example above, four files have been added as related files. These files appear in the web application as linked file numbers, as shown below:
Instructions
Follow the instructions below to add related files.
- Open the current file you wish to edit using the Files function.
- Select the Associations tab.
Select Edit in the Related Files field. A new window appears.
- Type the number of the related file in the Search field of the window.
- Once the correct data is populated in the Search field, select the right arrow to select the file.
- To add more files, clear the Search field, and repeat steps 4 and 5.
- When you are finished, select Close and then select Save.
