WI Air National Guard

Last week, I had the privilege of spending the day with the WI Air National Guard, specifically the 128th Air Refueling Wing out of Milwaukee. The National Guard is an important asset for Wisconsinites. They provide emergency support to civilians following natural disasters and catastrophic events. For example, the WI National Guard is currently assisting with sandbagging and other flood relief efforts in Dane County. The WI Air National Guard is currently on standby- ready to assist at a moments notice. MPD Officers are also members of the WI Air National Guard. Thank you to everyone who has served!

MPD Detective Matt Wentzel, who is a Traditional Guardsman with the 115th Fighter Wing, arranged for me to ride in a KC-135 Stratotanker on a refueling mission of Navy F-18's that were participating in a training exercise. It was an amazing experience.
