Yesterday marked our annual shift change. Each year officers are allowed to select their beat, shift and district depending upon their seniority. More senior officers get more of a choice and less senior officers have less of a choice. Each year officers gain seniority since every year we have resignations and retirements.
You may see new faces patrolling your neighborhoods, feel free to reach out to an officer to introduce yourself and if you would like an officer to come to a neighborhood meeting, just ask us here at the South District.
