The Madison Police Department learned yesterday of the passing of long-term, committed resident Ruth Ann Bauhs. Citizens like Ruth Ann and her late husband Jack inspired the Madison Police Department-South District and the Burr Oaks neighborhood with their endless volunteer efforts, commitment to safety and dedication to the community. Both Ruth Ann and Jack were instrumental in lobbying for the actual South Police District in 2002, the Burr Oaks Senior Living Apartments, neighborhood safety walks and so much more.
