Sergeant Paul Jacobsen spent his final shift in patrol last night, after 16 years of service (plus over a dozen in another law enforcement agency) to Madison and the Madison Police Department. While our community slept, Sergeant Jacobsen spent his career working the overnight shift, keeping us safe. Sergeant Jacobsen was highly respected by his co-workers and Officers he supervised. That respect was evident last night as Officers on and off duty, masked and gloved, stopped at the South Police District to congratulate him on his dedicated, unselfish, professional career. We wish Sergeant Jacobsen a long, healthy retirement. Congratulations to you and your family!!
