What's a Happy Tree?...At the beginning of the year, the South District "Happy Tree" was drawn on a dry erase board by an officer in our briefing room. The Happy Tree serves as a daily visual reminder of some of the "wins" we have had so far in 2016. Each time a South District Officer saves a person's life, (administering naloxone during a drug overdose, providing CCR or CPR to someone, etc.) the tree gets another leaf. We are up to 10 leaves so far! Our officers see some really challenging situations each day, so this is one way to try and keep positive thoughts and "wins" in our minds!
