Hello Midtown,

The below information is through August 31, 2020

 

SHOTS FIRED:

Year-to-date (8/31) there have been 176 shots fired in Madison compared with 99 at this time in 2019

In August of 2020 there have been 33 shots fired incidents citywide compared to 23 in 2019 and 19 in 2018

In August of 2020 there have been 9 people struck by gunfire in the course of 6 separate incidents

In August of 2020 there have been 3 shots fired in MIDTOWN

 

BURGLARIES:

                Year-to-date there have been 931 burglaries compared with 696 in 2019

                In August of 2020 there were a total of 172 burglaries citywide comparted with 93 in 2019

                In MIDTOWN in August of 2020 there were 32 burglaries; in 2017, 16; 2018, 23; 2019, 8

 

STOLEN AUTOS:

                Year-to-date there have been 428 stolen autos citywide compared to 297 in 2019

                There have been four stolen autos in MIDTOWN in August of 2020 compared with two in 2019

 

THEFT FROM AUTOS:

                Year-to-date there have been 1,016 theft from autos city-wide which is a 20% increase from the 5 year average

                In August of 2020 there were 156 theft from autos citywide compared to 132 in 2019

                In MIDTOWN there were 23 theft from autos in August comparted to 29 in 2019
