The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 11/20/2023 through 6:00 a.m. on 11/21/2023, MPD received 407 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (75),East (86), Midtown (49), North (83), South (44), West (60), and Other (10). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 5:34 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 43-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and a probation/parole warrant.
MIDTOWN: Domestic Disturbance – 9:37 a.m. A 25-year-old male subject was arrested for his involvement in a domestic disturbance the previous day. Charges include domestic disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and trespass to dwelling.
NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 12:32 p.m. Officers met with a subject who reported a previous domestic involving a 30-year-old male subject. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject once he is located.
WEST: Sexual Assault – 6:21 p.m. Officers received a report of sexual assault. Investigation continuing.
EAST: Adult Arrested Person – 6:53 p.m. Officers responded to a retail theft involving a 33-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for retail theft and outstanding warrants.
MIDTOWN: Assist Other Agency – 7:04 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a subject with a gunshot wound. A possible scene was identified in Fitchburg's jurisdiction. MPD assisted with the perimeter. At this time Fitchburg PD has the lead on this investigation.
CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 10:31 p.m. A 25-year-old female subject was arrested for theft after stealing a victim's cell phone at a restaurant.
