City-Wide Notable Calls 03/19/2024 to 03/20/2024

The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to a twenty-four (24) period. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 03/19/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 03/20/2024, MPD received 421 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (56), East (80), Midtown (78), North (76), South (48), West (65), and Other (18). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls for service only from 6:12 p.m. to 10:51 p.m.

SOUTH: Battery – 4:33 a.m. A 19-year-old male suspect was arrested after physically assaulting a teen. Suspect arrested for physical abuse of a child and criminal damage to property

CENTRAL: Fight Call – 11:42 a.m. A 37-year-old male shoved a woman who was walking by his car. Suspect also broke this person's phone when they attempted to call for assistance. Bystanders jumped in to assist. Suspect arrested for disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, intimidation of victim.

EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 2:47 p.m. A 19-year-old male suspect followed a woman around her place of employment. Suspect and woman are known to one another. Suspect arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and battery.

EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 3:55 p.m. Officers contacted after a physical altercation between a woman and mad. Probable cause developed for 40-year-old female suspect for domestic disorderly conduct.

MIDTOWN: Sex Offense Miscellaneous – 4:49 p.m. A 78-year-old male is arrested for lewd and lascivious behavior and bail jumping.

SOUTH: Domestic Disturbance – 4:50 p.m. Officers dispatched to a residence for an argument between a man and woman. Male suspect arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.  

NORTH: Child Neglect – 6:55 p.m. Officers investigating an incident of child neglect. CPS notified.

WEST: Death Investigation – 7:14 p.m. Officers responded to a home where a 62-year-old woman was found deceased. Nothing suspicious found at the scene.

NORTH: Domestic Disturbance: 8:19 p.m. A man suspect was arrested after physically assault a man and woman. Suspect arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, domestic battery and domestic disorderly conduct.

MIDTOWN: Drug Incident Overdose – 9:55 p.m. Officers responded to a person overdosing. Narcan provided and person transported to hospital.

CENTRAL: Domestic Disturbance – 12:42 a.m. Officers dispatched for an argument between man and woman. A 43-year-old male suspect was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, obstructing, possession with intent to deliver, disorderly conduct and bail jumping.

SOUTH: Drug Incident/Investigation – 2:31 a.m. A 34-year-old female suspect was arrested following a traffic stop where drugs were found inside the vehicle.
