The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 4/23/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 4/24/2024, MPD received ____ calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (),East (), Midtown (), North (), South (), West (), and Other (). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency. *Calls for service information not available at the time of this writing due to system updates.

West/Adult Arrested Person – 8am: A 58-year-old male subject was arrested for active probable cause and new charges for possession of cocaine and bail jumping.

Central/Retail Theft – 12:05pm: Officers responded to a report of a retail theft involving a 35-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for an outstanding warrant. The subject was cited for retail theft.

Central/Crash – 12:39pm: Officers responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash. The pedestrian was lawfully within the crosswalk. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with critical but non-life threatening injuries. The driver was cited for failure to yield.   

Midtown/Mental Health Response – 1:06pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject walking in traffic. The subject was transported to a local hospital where they were ultimately admitted to.

North/Recovered Stolen Auto – 5:39pm: An occupied stolen vehicle came into the City. Officers observed the vehicle and before they could activate their lights the driver/vehicle took off. The vehicle was later located stopped and two male subjects fled on foot. Both subjects (33-year-old male and 30-year-old male) were apprehended. The 33-year-old male subject was arrested for reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle without consent, possession of marijuana and a probation hold. The other subject was arrested for resisting, operating a motor vehicle without consent (party to a crime) and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 6:26pm: A 32-year-old female subject (wanted) was taken into custody and transported to jail.

Central/Disturbance – 12:07am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 36-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.

East/Mental Health Response – 1:31am: Officers responded to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. The subject was conveyed to a local hospital where they were voluntarily admitted.

South/Disturbance – 2:47am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 30-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.
