The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 5/30/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 6/2/2025, MPD received 1,221 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (225),East (249), Midtown (211), North (196), South (163), West (155), and Other (22). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

North/Death Investigation – 7:55am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (73-year-old female). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 9:05am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 37-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and felony bail jumping (4 counts).
South/Domestic Disturbance – 5:33pm: The caller reported a disturbance and damage done to a vehicle. Probable cause developed to arrest a 45-year-old male subject, who remains at-large.
East/Adult Arrested Person – 6:15pm: A text came into dispatch that a wanted person was in a vehicle with a knife and they were concerned for their safety. Phone ping activated. Vehicle observed and a high-risk traffic stop was conducted. A 23-year-old male female subject and a 27-year-old female subject were arrested on outstanding warrants.
West/Child Neglect – 6:25pm: Officers responded to a report of an unattended child who did not appear to be well cared for (no clothes, dirty diaper, etc.). A second child appeared when officers were on scene. No adult was located. The condition of the residence was described as "deplorable". Child Protective Services notified. The children were transported to a local hospital for evaluations. A 25-year-old female subject (mom to the children) was taken into custody on a probation/parole warrant. Search warrant executed at the residence. Investigation continuing.
North/Crash – 10:15pm: Officers responded to a report of a subject staggering/running in the roadway. The call was updated that the subject was struck by a vehicle. The subject sustained significant injuries (non-life threatening) and was transported to a local hospital. The driver remained on scene and was cooperative. Investigation continuing.
East/Runaway Juvenile – 10:46pm: A 17-year-old male subject was reported missing/runaway from a shelter home. Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 2:04am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving an intoxicated suicidal subject. The subject was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject. Subject evaluated for an emergency detention. Final outcome pending. *Emergency detention not supported. The 27-year-old female subject was transported to jail for domestic battery and domestic disorderly conduct.
Central/Death Investigation – 8:18am: Officers responded, along with MFD, to a report of a pulseless non-breathing infant. Lifesaving measures attempted but were not successful. Death appears to have occurred during co-sleeping. Investigation continuing.
South/Death Investigation – 8:35am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (61-year-old male). Decedent had a history of health/medical concerns. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
North/Stolen Auto – 9:22am: Two vehicles were reported stolen from a dealership. Attempt to locate aired. Stoughton PD advised they had located both vehicles. A 19-year-old male subject attempted to flee but was successfully stopped after tire deflation devices were deployed. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without consent and fleeing/eluding.
Midtown/Runaway Juvenile – 3:40pm: Officers responded to a report of a runaway juvenile (16-year-old male). Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.
East/Stolen Auto – 8:04pm: A vehicle was reported stolen. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.
East/Conveyance – 9pm: A suicidal subject was placed into protective custody and evaluated for an emergency detention, which was supported. Probable cause also developed to arrest/charge the subject. The subject was placed locally and officers disengaged.

Central/Trespassing – 12:05am: A 20-year-old male subject was contacted for trespassing. The subject attempted to push past officers, refused to comply with their requests, and actively resisted when the officers went to take him into custody. The subject was arrested for resisting and a probation hold. The subject was cited for trespassing and open intoxicants.
South/Intoxicated Driver – 1:34am: A 39-year-old male subject crashed his vehicle into a fire hydrant. The subject was determined to be impaired and was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (2nd offense).
South/Domestic Disturbance – 5:03am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 25-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
Midtown/Check Person – 9:03am: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject walking in traffic. The subject was contacted, taken into protective custody, and transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. Emergency detention being sought. Final outcome pending. *Subject transported to Winnebago.
Midtown/Death Investigation – 9:35am: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a 64-year-old male subject. Entry made to the residence and the subject was located deceased. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
East/Theft – 9:46am: Officers responded to a theft complaint involving a 25-year-old male subject who stole and used his aunt's debit card to make ATM withdrawals. The subject was arrested. During the transport to jail, the subject began to strike his head on the partition. The subject was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation/treatment. The subject continued to cause himself self-harm and fought with officers. The subject was ultimately booked into jail for battery to a police officer, resisting, a probation hold, and an outstanding warrant. Additional follow-up necessary on the theft complaint.
Midtown/Injured Subject – 1:31pm: Officers responded to an injured bicyclist. Conflicting statements about whether a vehicle struck the bicyclist. The subject was transported to a local hospital. Investigation continuing.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 1:38pm: A 17-year-old male subject, wanted, was located and taken into custody on a DOC hold/warrant.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 2:09pm: Officers responded to a report of a fight. A 56-year-old female subject was contacted and arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, disorderly conduct, felony bail jumping, and misdemeanor bail jumping. A 57-year-old female subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 3:12pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 31-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.
North/Mental Health Conveyance – 7:59pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. The subject was transported to a local hospital. An emergency detention was sought/approved. Placement pending.
Central/Domestic Disturbance – 9:37pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 25-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.

Central/Intoxicated Driver – 12:33am: A traffic stop was conducted. A 33-year-old male driver/subject was found to be impaired. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense).
East/Check Person – 1:57am: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject (37-year-old male). The subject was transported to a local hospital for an emergency detention evaluation. The emergency detention was not supported. The subject was cited for trespassing and released.
Central/Disturbance – 5:11am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 26-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed, obstructing, and resisting.
