The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 08/30/2022 through 6:00 a.m. on 08/31/2022, MPD received 452 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (83),East (88), Midtown (61), North (86), South (47), West (73), and Other (14). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only from 4:22 p.m. to 5:34 p.m. due to calls for service.

Priority calls only from 6:33 p.m. to 7:11 p.m. due to calls for service.

EAST: Stolen Auto – 7:04 a.m.  A vehicle was reported stolen.  Attempt to locate aired.  The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.  **Vehicle located and recovered unoccupied by Fitchburg PD.

SOUTH: Adult Arrested Person – 8:21 a.m.  Officers responded to a report of an unwanted subject/suspect (49-year-old male) who refused to leave the premises.  The suspect was arrested for an outstanding warrant.    

NORTH: Adult Arrested Person – 2:38 p.m.  A 32-year-old female was taken into custody and conveyed to jail on an outstanding warrant. 

NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 3:10 p.m.  Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 31-year-old male suspect.  The suspect was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct. 

CENTRAL: Disturbance – 3:42 p.m.  Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 53-year-old male suspect.  The suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed, carrying a concealed weapon, an outstanding warrant and a probation hold. 

EAST: Assist Police – 3:55 p.m.  Officers assisted State Patrol who had a stolen vehicle flee from them.  Vehicle located unoccupied.  MPD assisted with a perimeter and K9 track.  Suspect(s) remain at-large. 

EAST: Nuisance Calls – 4:39 p.m.  A 53-year-old male called dispatch numerous times upset.  The subject continued to call and berated dispatch and MPD staff.  Officers attempted to make contact with the subject who refused to talk with them in person.  Charges pending for the subject/suspect for misuse of 911, felony bail jumping and a probation hold. 

EAST: Disturbance – 5:46 p.m.  Officers responded to a 911 disconnect call.  A disturbance was found to have occurred.   Children were present so Child Protective Services was contacted and ended up taking custody of the children as both adults were arrested.  A 31-year-old male was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.  A 32-year-old female was arrested for resisting. 

NORTH: Adult Arrested Person – 9:10 p.m.  Officers responded to a report of a 24-year-old male suspect violating a restraining order.  The suspect was arrested for violating the court order, domestic disorderly conduct, resisting and misuse of a telephone.  The suspect was also issued a stalking letter.

EAST: Drug Incident Overdose – 1:12 a.m.  Officers responded to a pulseless non-breathing subject/suspect (30-year-old male).  Naloxone administered.  The suspect was conveyed to a local hospital.  The suspect was given an order in date for possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 2:11 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 46-year-old male suspect.  The suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and an outstanding warrant.
