The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 1/19/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 1/22/2024, MPD received 1,140 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (189),East (211), Midtown (198), North (219), South (121), West (182), and Other (20). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only from 8:16 p.m. to 11:02 p.m. due to calls for service.

EAST: Adult Arrested Person – 2:00 a.m. A 33-year-old male subject was arrested for probable cause reference a domestic disturbance. The subject was booked into jail.

SOUTH: Death Investigation – 7:19 a.m. Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (71-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Decedent had a history of health/medical concerns and also drug use. Nothing suspicious identified.

MIDTOWN: Assist MFD – 10:32 a.m. Officers responded, along with MFD, to a report of a residential fire. Occupants evacuated safely from the home. MFD has the lead on this investigation.

WEST: Disturbance – 11:30 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 33-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed (2 counts) and possession of MDMA.

EAST: Adult Arrested Person – 12:22 p.m. A 40-year-old female subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant and conveyed to jail.

CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 3:04 p.m. A 20-year-old male subject was arrested for 2nd degree reckless endangering safety, disorderly conduct while armed and simple battery.

EAST: Adult Arrested Person – 3:11 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 43-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for bail jumping.

MIDTOWN: Death Investigation – 4:13 p.m. Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (74-year-old female). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.

WEST: Domestic Disturbance – 6:15 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 24-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, domestic criminal damage to property, criminal damage to property, resisting, discharge bodily fluids at public safety workers (4 counts), threats to law enforcement (7 counts) and a probation hold.

CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 7:56 p.m. Officers responded to a report of an unwanted subject (38-year-old female). The subject was arrested for battery to a police officer, resisting and a probation hold.

NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 9:21 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 17-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct while armed, intimidation of a victim and criminal damage to property.

Priority calls only from 11:26 p.m. to 4:13 a.m. due to calls for service.

NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 1:43 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 45-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

NORTH: Check Area – 4:13 a.m. Officers were initially dispatched to a report of a stabbing. The caller/victim was uncooperative with officers. No visible cuts identified. A 20-year-old female subject was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers disengaged.

NORTH: Assist MFD – 4:54 a.m. Officers responded, along with MFD, to a report of heavy flames from an apartment complex. Residents evacuated. Multiple vehicle fires. Investigation continuing.  

NORTH: Death Investigation – 11:40 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (37-year-old male subject). Medical Examiner's office responded. Evidence of drug use on scene. Nothing suspicious identified.

CENTRAL: Disturbance – 12:46 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 64-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting and trespassing.

EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 1:02 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 20-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct (3 counts).

SOUTH: Death Investigation – 3:23 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (55-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time. Autopsy pending.

SOUTH: Domestic Disturbance – 3:29 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 41-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

WEST: Domestic Disturbance – 4:25 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 53-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct while armed and misdemeanor bail jumping (3 counts).

EAST: Adult Arrested Person – 10:50 p.m. A 30-year-old male subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

NORTH: Theft from Auto – 11:05 p.m. 3 male juveniles (ages 15, 11 and 12) were observed breaking into vehicles. One of the juveniles was in possession of a realistic-looking facsimile firearm. The juveniles were released to their parents with referrals to our restorative justice program for criminal damage to property.

EAST: Hit-and-Run – 11:15 p.m. Officers responded to a hit-and-run crash. Investigation continuing.

Priority calls only from 4:14 p.m. 5:57 p.m. due to calls for service.

EAST: Hit-and-Run – 12:33 a.m. A 31-year-old female driver/subject struck an occupied squad and fled the scene. The vehicle was located unoccupied. Charges forthcoming.

MIDTOWN: Check Person – 3:14 a.m. Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject causing a disturbance. Journey Mental Health consulted. Emergency detention may be sought. Officers disengaged for now and will be called back if needed.

CENTRAL: Battery – 3:23 p.m. Officers responded to a fight call. Two subjects with injuries contacted. Additional investigation required before charges can be decided.

CENTRAL: Disturbance – 3:33 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 23-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for possession with intent to deliver THC, disorderly conduct while armed, battery and felony bail jumping.

SOUTH: Stolen Auto – 3:35 p.m. A vehicle was reported stolen. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.

NORTH: Adult Arrested Person – 4:07 p.m. A 27-year-old male subject was arrested for resisting, trespassing and a probation hold.  

EAST: Adult Arrested Person – 6:09 p.m. A 54-year-old male subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant and a new charge (obstructing).

CENTRAL: Check Person – 6:31 p.m. Officers responded to check the welfare of a subject. The subject was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. Journey Mental Health plugged in. Final outcome pending.

WEST: Missing Adult – 10:21 p.m. A female subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. Phone pings conducted. The subject was located safe.

EAST: Disturbance – 10:46 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance. A 25-year-old male subject was arrested for substantial battery, false imprisonment, strangulation and disorderly conduct.

MIDTOWN: Crash – 11:05 p.m. Officers responded to a crash. The driver (22-year-old female) was found to be impaired and had a young child unrestrained in the vehicle. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence with a passenger under the age of 16 (1st offense) and child neglect.

WEST: Check Person – 11:40 p.m. Officers responded to a call of suspected child abuse. Child Protective Services notified. Investigation continuing.
