The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Tuesday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 06/16/2023 through 6:00 a.m. on 06/20/2023, MPD received 1,682 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (289), East (337), Midtown (253), North (316), South (176), West (273), and Other (38). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only from 7:00 p.m. to 3:20 a.m. due to calls for service.

WEST: Stolen Auto – 5:56 a.m. Officers responded to Planet Fitness where two unidentified suspects stole a set of keys from the locker room and stole a vehicle from the parking lot. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases. *The vehicle was later recovered and the owner was notified.

NORTH: Adult Arrested Person – 7:45 a.m. While investigating a disturbance officers made contact with a 51-year-old male who had a warrant for his arrest. The subject was taken into custody without incident.

SOUTH: Road Rage – 2:01 p.m. The victim reported that a 50-year-old male honked his horn at him on the beltline and then pointed a gun at him. Middleton PD located the subject/vehicle and located a gun in the vehicle. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed.

EAST: Adult Arrested Person – 2:54 p.m. Officers located a 32-year-old male who was wanted. The subject attempted to flee from officers but was apprehended. The subject was arrested on the outstanding warrant, resisting and bail jumping.

MIDTOWN: Sexual Assault – 3:09 p.m. The victim reported being sexually assaulted by a known subject (31-year-old male). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject once he is located.

MIDTOWN: Check Person – 3:50 p.m. Officers made contact with a juvenile who had left her group home. Officers consulted with Journey Mental Health. The juvenile was taken into protective custody and transported to a hospital.

EAST: Check Person – 4:13 p.m. Officers made contact with a suicidal subject. The subject was placed into protective custody and transported to a hospital. Final outcome pending.

EAST: Adult Arrested Person – 4:14 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a 42-year-old female subject engaged in sexual conduct in a common area of the business. The subject was arrested for lewd and lascivious behavior, disorderly conduct, and obstructing.

WEST: Weapons Offense – 5:50 p.m. Officers responded to a local hospital and made contact with a victim with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Investigation continuing.

MIDTOWN: Damage to Property – 5:50 p.m. Officers responded to a commercial building where the 34-year-old male subject was found trespassing and damaging property with a lead pipe. The subject was arrested for criminal damage to property.

CENTRAL: Disturbance – 10:09 p.m. Officers were flagged down regarding a disturbance involving a 35-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

NORTH: Drug Overdose – 10:35 p.m. Officers responded to a residence where three subjects had overdosed (24-, 25- and 39-year-old males). All three subjects were cited for possession of cocaine.

WEST: Disturbance – 11:15 p.m. Officers responded to a group home where a resident and her caregiver reportedly engaged in a physical disturbance. Officers were unable to contact the caregiver, who had left the scene, and who was not positively identified. Investigation continuing.

EAST: Drug Overdose – 12:18 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a 42-year-old female subject who had experienced a drug overdose. The subject was conveyed to the hospital and cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of heroin.

NORTH: Traffic Incident – 12:26 a.m. A woman reported she was driving in the 3500 block of Packers Ave when a young girl darted across the street in front of her vehicle. She was unable to stop in time and struck the girl. The girl did not appear to be seriously injured and got up and eventually left the scene with an adult. The driver remained on scene to make contact with police. Police made phone contact with the adult who had been on scene with the girl but the adult was uncooperative and did not provide information about the incident. No charges were substantiated.

EAST: Weapons Offense Person w/ Gun – 12:53 a.m. Officers responded to a bar where a caller to dispatch reported that the bartender and a patron were arguing when the bartender drew a gun and held it at his side. The involved parties were no longer on scene when officers arrived. Investigation continuing.

CENTRAL: Traffic Arrest – 12:56 a.m. Officers conducted  traffic stop. A K9 sniff provided a positive alert for the odor of illegal drugs. A search of the vehicle yielded a handgun, illegal drugs and large amounts of cash. The 29-year-old male driver/subject was arrested for possession with intent to deliver cocaine (party to a crime) and possession with intent to deliver fentanyl. A 36-year-old female/passenger was arrested for possession of a firearm by a felon and possession with intent to deliver cocaine and possession with intent to deliver fentanyl.

CENTRAL: Drug Incident – 2:20 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop. The 31-year-old male driver/subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with intent to deliver marijuana.

NORTH: Residential Burglary – 7:37 a.m. The victim reported that unidentified subjects stole a garage door opener from a vehicle outside the residence and entered the garage. The subjects stole items from the vehicles in the garage and returned the next night to go through the vehicles again. Investigation continuing.

WEST: Domestic Disturbance – 9:01 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 42-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery.  

NORTH: Theft from Auto – 12:12 p.m. Officers took two reports of theft from auto where credit cards were stolen from the vehicles and used at a convenience store. Investigation continuing.

MIDTOWN: Stolen Auto – 1:40 p.m. A vehicle was reported as stolen. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.

SOUTH: Domestic Disturbance – 1:49 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving an 18-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and felony bail jumping (3 counts).

WEST: Adult Arrested Person – 1:54 p.m. A stolen vehicle was located/recovered. A 16-year-old male subject and a 15-year-old male subject were arrested for operating a motor vehicle without consent.

MIDTOWN: Death Investigation – 1:57 p.m. Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (77-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.

WEST: Missing/Runaway Juvenile – 2:07 p.m. A 15-year-old female was reported as missing/runaway. Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.

EAST: Check Area – 4:54 p.m. Officers responded to shots fired in the 6800 block of Milwaukee St. No evidence of shots fired located at this time.

CENTRAL: Strong Armed Robbery – 10:26 p.m. A subject reported being physically assaulted and had her vehicle stolen by 3 unknown male subjects. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases. Investigation continuing. *The vehicle was observed by an officer. The driver/vehicle fled. Middleton PD observed the vehicle and saw 3 subjects running from the vehicle. One subject was taken into custody. Identification and charges forthcoming.

MIDTOWN: Drug Incident – 11:48 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a drug overdose. Naloxone was administered which revived the subject. A second subject started to experience an overdose while officers were on scene. Both subjects were conveyed to a local hospital. A probation/parole hold was placed on a 17-year-old male subject. Additional charges may be forthcoming.

Priority calls only from 3:52 a.m. to 4:29 a.m. due to calls for service.

CENTRAL: Weapons Offense – 3:38 a.m. Officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 600 block of E. Dayton St. A subject showed up at a local hospital shortly thereafter with a gunshot wound. The subject succumbed to their injuries. Investigation continuing.  

MIDTOWN: Domestic Disturbance – 2:44 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 34-year-old male subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject once he is located.

EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 5:07 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 51-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery and domestic disorderly conduct.

NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 7:29 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 34-year-old male subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject once he is located.

NORTH: Injured Person – 10:49 p.m. A subject showed up at a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The subject only would report that they had to defend themselves. Subject's vehicle located with blood. Investigation continuing.

NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 11:31 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 24-year-old male subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject once he is located.  

WEST: Disturbance – 11:36 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 46-year-old male subject and a 41-year-old male subject. The 46-year-old male was arrested for disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, criminal trespassing (party to a crime) and resisting. The 41-year-old male was arrested for disorderly conduct, criminal trespassing and criminal damage to property.

EAST: Adult Arrested Person – 4:29 a.m. A traffic stop was conducted. A 32-year-old male subject was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm, obstructing and a probation/parole hold. A 35-year-old male subject was arrested on a probation/parole hold and felony bail jumping.

EAST: Adult Arrested Person – 10:47 a.m. A 34-year-old male subject who escaped from a correctional facility was located and taken back into custody.

WEST: Check Person – 11:31 a.m. Officers responded to check the welfare of a subject. The subject was conveyed to a local hospital. Journey Mental Health consulted. The subject was voluntarily admitted and officers disengaged.

SOUTH: Adult Arrested Person – 12:00 p.m. A 35-year-old male wanted subject was located and taken into custody (domestic disorderly conduct while armed, criminal damage to property and bail jumping).  

NORTH: Missing/Runaway Juvenile – 12:08 p.m. A 14-year-old female was reported as missing/runaway. Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.

CENTRAL: Disturbance – 1:20 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 33-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for retail theft, disorderly conduct, resisting and unlawful trespass after notification.

SOUTH: Missing/Runaway Juvenile – 1:59 p.m. A 15-year-old male subject was reported as missing/runaway after a disturbance at home. Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.

EAST: Intoxicated Driver – 3:07 p.m. A 50-year-old female was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (3rd offense).

SOUTH: Domestic Disturbance – 4:05 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 59-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic physical abuse to an elder, domestic intimidation of a victim, domestic disorderly conduct and domestic abuse injunction violation.

EAST: Disturbance – 5:18 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 45-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.

NORTH: Disturbance – 5:43 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 45-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, obstructing, felony bail jumping (5 counts) and misdemeanor bail jumping (2 counts).

EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 5:44 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance. Journey Mental Health plugged in and supported an emergency detention. Transport to Winnebago pending.  Charges also forthcoming for the subject.

MIDTOWN: Retail Theft – 5:49 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a retail theft by a 33-year-old female subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject once she is located.

EAST: Missing/Runaway Juvenile – 11:20 p.m. A 12-year-old female was reported as missing/runaway. Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.

EAST: Check Area – 11:46 p.m. Officers responded to a report of several subject wearing masks walking through backyards. Officers arrived and observed several subjects running. Two subjects were apprehended. Investigation continuing.

06/20

SOUTH: Residential Burglary – 12:11 a.m. A homeowner reported arriving home and finding a door that had been kicked in. Nothing reported missing at this time. Investigation continuing.

NORTH: Missing/Runaway Juvenile – 1:53 a.m. A 12-year-old female was reported as missing/runaway. Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.

NORTH: Death Investigation – 2:02 a.m. Officers responded to a pulseless non-breathing subject (60-year-old female). Lifesaving measures attempted but were not successful. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.
