The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 09/06/2023 through 6:00 a.m. on 09/07/2023, MPD received 440 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (70),East (98), Midtown (74), North (79), South (43), West (68), and Other (8). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

EAST: Missing/Runaway Juvenile - 7:00 a.m. A 14-year-old female subject was reported as missing/runaway. Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.?

?WEST: Missing/Runaway Juvenile - 8:36 a.m. A 14-year-old female subject was reported as missing/runaway. Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.

CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person - 9:00 a.m. A 32-year-old female subject was arrested for resisting after officers approached her to give her a ticket for littering for throwing garbage in front of a squad. The subject kicked and spit at officers. No injuries sustained. 

NORTH: Crash – 2:20 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a dump truck that tipped over and a driver being pinned. The driver was cut out of the truck and sustained minor injuries. The dump truck was on uneven ground and tipped over. Nothing of concern identified.

WEST: Domestic Disturbance – 3:22 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 60-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and misdemeanor bail jumping (2 counts).

NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 5:37 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 29-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, battery and criminal damage to property.

EAST: Crash – 7:08 p.m. A bicyclist reported being hit by a vehicle on Lien Road. The driver/vehicle did not stop. The subject was conveyed to a local hospital for an evaluation but no injuries observed by officers.  Limited information provided by the bicyclist.  No bicycle observed/located.

CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 11:44 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a suspicious subject (18-year-old male) inside of a construction site. The subject was contacted and subsequently arrested for trespass to a construction site, possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony bail jumping (2 counts).  

MIDTOWN: Mental Health Conveyance – 11:44 p.m. A subject at a local hospital ran across a street.  The subject was reportedly in a full manic state. The subject was admitted to a local hospital under an emergency detention order.

CENTRAL: Disturbance – 12:11 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 22-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct with a hate crime enhancer, disorderly conduct, resisting and resisting causing soft tissue injury.
