The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 11/24/2022 through 6:00 a.m. on 11/25/2022, MPD received 197 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (29),East (42), Midtown (40), North (34), South (26), West (19), and Other (7). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only started at 11:12 p.m. and is still active at the time of this posting. 

NORTH: Intoxicated Driver – 6:15 a.m. Officers came upon a disabled vehicle in the middle of the road.  The driver/suspect (33-year-old male) was found to be impaired.  The suspect resisted officers.  The suspect was conveyed to a local hospital where he was issued citations for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting. 

SOUTH: Domestic Disturbance – 6:37 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 23-year-old male suspect.  The suspect was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, battery, false imprisonment and a probation hold.

SOUTH: Mental Health Conveyance – 8:25 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a suicidal subject.  The subject was contacted and conveyed to a local hospital.  An emergency detention was sought and approved.  The subject was transported to Winnebago. 

NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 11:19 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 37-year-old male suspect.  Suspect not on scene when officers arrived.  Probable cause developed to arrest the suspect once he is located. 

CENTRAL: Stolen Auto – 12:14 p.m. A vehicle was reported stolen.  The victim identified the suspect as known to him.  Phone contact made with the suspect who agreed to meet with officers but he didn't show up.  Probable cause developed to arrest the suspect once he is located. 

EAST: Disturbance – 12:19 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance.  A 19-year-old female was cited for disorderly conduct.  A 24-year-old male suspect was cited for disorderly conduct and resisting/obstructing.   

NORTH: Strong Armed Robbery – 7:16 p.m. The owner of a business confronts a subject/suspect (47-year-old female) who is not supposed to be on their property.  While this occurs an unknown subject/suspect steals merchandise from the store.  Both suspects fled.  The 47-year-old female was located and arrested for 2nd degree reckless endangering safety, false imprisonment, strong armed robbery party to a crime, battery, disorderly conduct, trespassing, eluding and felony bail jumping (5 counts).  The second suspect remains at-large. Investigation continuing.   

EAST: Armed Robbery – 9:26 p.m. Two victims reported getting into the backseat of a vehicle that they thought they knew who the occupants were.  A gun was pointed in the vehicle by a suspect who takes the victim's phone and air pods.  A second suspect also had a gun but did not point it at anyone.  Limited details provided by the victims.  Investigation continuing. 

MIDTOWN: Weapons Violation – 10:54 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance with shots fired.  A 32-year-old male suspect was arrested for 2nd degree reckless endangering safety, felon in possession of a firearm, disorderly conduct while armed, an outstanding warrant and felony bail jumping. A 36-year-old male suspect was arrested on a probation hold. 

SOUTH: Adult Arrested Person – 11:13 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a driver/suspect (27-year-old male) driving with his headlights off, running a stop sign and armed with a gun.  The suspect was contacted and arrested for disorderly conduct while armed (2 counts), felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, resisting, possession with intent to deliver THC, possess/illegally obtain prescription medication. 

WEST: Recovered/Stolen Auto – 11:48 p.m. A stolen U-Haul truck was observed by an officer and a traffic stop was attempted.  The vehicle/driver fled.  Spikes set up and the vehicle hit them which deflated all the tires.  The driver/suspect (36-year-old female) continued to elude and officers did not engage in any pursuit.  The vehicle was later located/recovered unoccupied.  The suspect was located and arrested for operating a motor vehicle without consent, eluding and outstanding warrants.

MIDTOWN: Disturbance – 2:39 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 33-year-old female suspect.  The suspect was arrested for domestic battery and battery to a police officer.
