The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 11/15/2023 through 6:00 a.m. on 11/16/2023, MPD received 438 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (68),East (98), Midtown (58), North (88), South (50), West (62), and Other (14). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only from 3:03 p.m. to 3:27 p.m. due to calls for service.

EAST: Missing/Runaway Juvenile – 8:00 a.m. A 16-year-old male subject was reported as missing/runaway. Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile has a history of running away. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.

EAST: Stolen Auto – 9:00 a.m. A vehicle was reported stolen. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.

CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 9:10 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a 40-year-old female subject refusing to leave the premises from which she is banned from already. The subject was transported to jail to post on a trespassing citation.

SOUTH: Domestic Disturbance – 10:00 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 34-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject once he is located.

EAST: Disturbance – 2:52 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a 23-year-old male subject who displayed a handgun after a vehicle crash. The subject was contacted and issued order-in citations for disorderly conduct while armed and hit-and-run.

NORTH: Traffic Incident – 3:43 p.m. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver/vehicle initially pulled over but then took off at a high rate of speed. MPD did not pursue. Probable cause developed to arrest the driver once he is located.

EAST: Disturbance – 5:44 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 26-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for resisting and misdemeanor bail jumping.

CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 6:55 p.m. A 31-year-old female subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and lewd/lascivious behavior.

SOUTH: Domestic Disturbance – 8:02 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 33-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and domestic battery.

NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 10:08 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 54-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for felony intimidation of a victim, battery, disorderly conduct and attempted mayhem.

MIDTOWN: Crash – 11:12 p.m. Officers responded to a single-vehicle crash with injuries. The driver (44-year-old male) was transported to a local hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The subject was provided order-in citations for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Priority calls only from 12:24 a.m. to 2:37 a.m. due to calls for service.

CENTRAL: Traffic Arrest – 12:03 a.m. A traffic stop was conducted. The driver (53-year-old male) took off at a high rate of speed. MPD did not pursue. Other law enforcement agencies pick up on the vehicle and pursued it. Tire deflation devices were deployed and successful. The subject fled on foot but was taken into custody. MPD charges include eluding, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (3rd offense), operating after suspension, misdemeanor bail jumping (4 counts) and trespass after notification. Monona PD also has several charges on the subject.

SOUTH: Missing Adult – 12:52 a.m. A 59-year-old male subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. Phone ping attempted. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases.

MIDTOWN: Intoxicated Driver – 2:22 a.m. Contact was made with a 25-year-old male subject/driver. The subject was found to be impaired. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (2nd offense), going armed while intoxicated and carrying a concealed weapon.

WEST: Death Investigation – 2:42 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (34-year-old female). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.
