The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 12/01/2023 through 6:00 a.m. on 12/04/2023, MPD received 1,145 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (198),East (230), Midtown (193), North (215), South (102), West (181), and Other (26). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

12/01

NORTH: Adult Arrested Person – 7:28 a.m. Officers located a wanted subject (36-year-old male), took him into custody and transported him to jail.

NORTH: Disturbance – 10:18 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 20-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for criminal damage to property.

EAST: Stolen/Recovered Stolen Auto – 12:33 p.m. A stolen vehicle was located/recovered. A 17-year-old male subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without consent.

MIDTOWN: Check Person – 1:50 p.m. Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. The subject was observed down on a hallway floor so entry was made to the residence. The subject was exhibiting agonal breathing and shaking. The subject was transported to a local hospital and left in the care of medical staff.

NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 3:30 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 38-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery, domestic disorderly conduct and misdemeanor bail jumping.

NORTH: Crash with Injuries – 4:39 p.m. Officers responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash. The pedestrian was conveyed to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver remained on scene and cooperative. No citations were issued.

MIDTOWN: Domestic Disturbance – 5:45 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 35-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct. Additional charges may be forthcoming.

NORTH: Disturbance – 8:12 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 23-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct (2 counts), false imprisonment, domestic criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct.

CENTRAL: Death Investigation – 8:57 p.m. Officers responded to a report of an unresponsive subject (50-year-old male). EMS attempted lifesaving measures but they were not successful. Evidence of drug use on scene. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.

Priority calls only from 10:08 p.m. to 2:29 a.m. due to calls for service.

CENTRAL: Crash with Injuries – 1:25 a.m. Officers responded to a hit-and-run crash. Minor injuries reported. The suspect vehicle was observed and a traffic stop was attempted. The driver did not stop and MPD did not pursue. The vehicle was later located unoccupied. A 25-year-old female subject was located hiding nearby and was uncooperative with officers. The subject was arrested for resisting and battery to law enforcement. The subject was determined to be a passenger in the vehicle.

MIDTOWN: Adult Arrested Person – 5:30 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a 26-year-old male subject refusing to leave the premises when asked. The subject was arrested to post bail on a trespassing citation/charge.

MIDTOWN: Domestic Disturbance – 10:56 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 21-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery and disorderly conduct.  

EAST: Adult Arrested Person – 2:08 p.m. A wanted 38-year-old male subject was taken into custody during a traffic stop for probable cause (domestic strangulation, battery and disorderly conduct).

WEST: Domestic Disturbance – 2:31 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 40-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic substantial battery, disorderly conduct and felony bail jumping.

CENTRAL: Disturbance – 8:15 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 59-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed weapon by a felon, throwing/discharge bodily fluids at a public safety workers and theft of moveable property.

NORTH: Traffic Stop – 8:39 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted. The passenger (28-year-old female) lied about her identity. The subject was arrested for obstructing, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cocaine, misappropriate ID, a parole hold and outstanding warrants.

WEST: Crash – 9:47 p.m. A traffic stop was attempted and the driver/vehicle fled. MPD did not pursue. The driver/vehicle crashed shortly after into a building. Subjects fled from the vehicle. No one located at this time.

WEST: Disturbance – 10:46 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a fight. A 28-year-old male subject attempted to flee on foot but was taken into custody. The subject had outstanding probable cause and obtained new charges of resisting causing soft tissue injury, disorderly conduct while armed, carrying a concealed weapon and misdemeanor bail jumping. Two other subjects obtained citations and were released.

Priority calls only from 11:15 p.m. to 2:43 a.m. due to calls for service. 

EAST: Intoxicated Driver – 3:13 a.m. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver (34-year-old female) was found to be impaired. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense).

NORTH: Disturbance – 5:25 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 40-year-old female subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject once she is located.

CENTRAL: Domestic Disturbance – 5:51 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 31-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, strangulation and criminal damage to property.

MIDTOWN: Domestic Disturbance – 8:00 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 31-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and battery.

EAST: Death Investigation – 8:48 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (60-year-old female). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.

WEST: Missing/Runaway Juvenile – 9:00 a.m. An 11-year-old male was reported as missing/runaway. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases. Journey Mental Health consulted. *Juvenile located/returned home.

EAST: Death Investigation – 10:18 a.m. Officers responded to a pulseless non-breathing subject (46-year-old male). Lifesaving measures attempted but were not successful. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.

MIDTOWN: Missing/Runaway Juvenile – 11:11 a.m. A 16-year-old male subject was reported as missing/runaway. Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.

CENTRAL: Disturbance – 3:24 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 44-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting, battery to law enforcement and misdemeanor bail jumping.

EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 4:43 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 53-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

CENTRAL: Missing Adult – 7:33 p.m. A 35-year-old female subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. Investigation continuing.

EAST: Intoxicated Driver – 7:34 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted and the 17-year-old male driver was found to be impaired. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense), possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession with intent to deliver psilocybin and he received several traffic citations.

MIDTOWN: Sexual Assault of a Child – 8:15 p.m. A victim reported being sexually assaulted. Investigation continuing.

WEST: Disturbance – 9:51 p.m. A victim was physically attacked by two unknown subjects. Investigation continuing.
