The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 06/05/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 06/06/2025, MPD received 497 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (90), East (108), Midtown (69), North (76), South (69), West (77), and Other (8). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

NORTH: Mental Health Conveyance – 6:10 am. Officers assisted Journey Mental Health with an emergency detention.
EAST: Death Investigation – 7:40 am. Officers responded to a residence where a 45-year-old man was found deceased. Nothing suspicious on scene.
SOUTH: Trespass – 8:35 am. Officers responded to an apartment building where the 29-year-old male suspect was sleeping in a hallway. Officers determined the suspect had a warrant for his arrest. The suspect was arrested on the warrant and banned from the premises.
NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 9:06 am. Officers responded to a residence where the 41-year-old female suspect punched the victim and threw her into a wall. Officers developed probable cause to arrest the suspect for domestic battery. Suspect is at large.
SOUTH: Traffic Crash – 3:48 pm. Officers responded to the intersection of Fish Hatchery Rd and Emil St where the suspect vehicle collided with another vehicle while making a left turn. The 37-year-old male driver was cited for failure to yield causing injury and failure to have insurance.
MIDTOWN: Violation of Court Order – 4:12 pm. Officers responded to a residence where the 22-year-old male suspect was present in violation of a court order. The suspect was charged with domestic disorderly conduct, trespass, intimidation of a victim, and resisting arrest.
EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 10:35 pm. Officers responded to a residence where the 54-year-old male suspect and victim were arguing. The suspect was arrested and charged with domestic disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and threats to LE.
CENTRAL: Domestic Disturbance – 10:45 pm. A victim reported that the 41-year-old male suspect dragged her by the wrists, called her names and threw things at her. The suspect was arrested and charged with domestic disorderly conduct, as well as strangulation based on the victim's recounting of a previous incident.
MIDTOWN: Domestic Disturbance – 11:10 pm. Officers responded to a residence where the 29-year-old male suspect threatened the victim. The suspect was arrested and charged with domestic disorderly conduct.
