The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 04/11/2023 through 6:00 a.m. on 04/12/2023, MPD received 426 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (62),East (86), Midtown (76), North (72), South (49), West (61), and Other (20). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only from 6:56 p.m. to 8:36 p.m. due to calls for service.

MIDTOWN: Stolen Auto – 5:11 a.m. A vehicle was reported as stolen. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.

MIDTOWN: Damage to Property – 6:30 a.m. A vehicle entered a golf course and caused damage to the grounds (2nd time in a week).

CENTRAL: Mental Health Conveyance – 8:13 a.m. A subject was conveyed to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation. Journey Mental Health plugged in.  The subject was voluntarily admitted and officers disengaged.

EAST: Missing Person – 11:41 a.m. A 17-year-old male was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases.  

WEST: Sexual Assault – 12:41 p.m. A victim reported being sexually assaulted by a known acquaintance. Investigation continuing.

EAST: Drug Incident – 1:00 p.m. A traffic stop was attempted after short-term trafficking was observed. The vehicle/driver fled and crashed. Several occupants of the vehicle fled on foot (2 located/taken into custody). A gun and drugs were recovered. Investigation continuing.

EAST: Information – 2:38 p.m. A caller (child) to dispatch stated there was a shooter at a school and then hung up. Contact made with the school as officers were en-route who advised there were no concerns in the building. The caller/child and parent were identified and contacted.

MIDTOWN: Missing Adult – 7:57 p.m. An 82-year-old female was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. The subject and her vehicle were listed as missing/endangered in the appropriate databases.

MIDTOWN: Domestic Disturbance – 9:23 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 64-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject once he is located.

MIDTOWN: Check Person – 1:39 a.m. Officers were flagged down regarding a missing subject who has a history of self-harm. MPD utilized the Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) and located the subject (with self-inflicted injuries). The subject was conveyed to a local hospital. Journey Mental Health consulted. Final outcome pending.
