The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 7/1/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 7/2/2025, MPD received 474 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (80),East (85), Midtown (92), North (76), South (69), West (65), and Other (7). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

East/Death Investigation – 2:39pm: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (62-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time. Autopsy pending.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 4:12pm: Contact made with a 43-year-old male subject who was found to have an active probation/parole warrant outstanding. Search incident to arrest yielded meth. The subject was arrested on the warrant, possession of meth, and obstructing.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 6:48pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 47-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and bail jumping (2 counts).
Midtown/Death Investigation – 8:12pm: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (63-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Death self-inflicted. Nothing suspicious identified.
Central/Disturbance – 10:20pm: A 33-year-old female subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting, and battery to law enforcement.
North/Adult Arrested Person – 10:50pm: A reckless driver was reported followed by a report of an incident involving a gun. A 25-year-old male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed. A 26-year-old male subject was arrested for reckless driving and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense). Gun located/recovered.
West/Stolen Auto – 10:56pm: A vehicle was reported stolen. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.

Central/Battery – 12:53am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving several juveniles. A 13-year-old male subject and a 14-year-old male subject were arrested for battery. They were transported to the Juvenile Reception Center. Parents notified.
