The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 4/9/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 4/10/2024, MPD received 429 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (79),East (95), Midtown (58), North (76), South (39), West (67), and Other (15). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Midtown/Mental Health Response – 1:04am: Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of an emergency detention. The subject was transported to Winnebago.
Midtown/Mental Health Response – 7am: Officers responded after a subject left the hospital against medical advice and in need of an emergency detention. The subject was located and brought back to the hospital. Final outcome pending.
Central/Stolen Auto – 9:38am: A motorcycle was reported stolen. Attempt to locate aired. The motorcycle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.
Midtown/Trespassing – 12:38pm: Officers responded to a report of trespassing involving a 40-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for trespassing, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct while armed and felony bail jumping.
West/Adult Arrested Person – 4:53pm: An 18-year-old male subject was arrested for 4th degree sexual assault and disorderly conduct.
Midtown/Adult Arrested Person – 6:53pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 19-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for trespass to a medical facility, resisting and attempted battery to a law enforcement officer.
North/Check Person – 7:16pm: Officers responded to a report of a 39-year-old male subject punching windows of stopped vehicles and trying to open vehicle doors. The subject was contacted and arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting and misdemeanor bail jumping.
North/Sexual Assault – 9:09pm: A 36-year-old male subject was arrested for 2nd degree sexual assault and domestic disorderly conduct.
West/Domestic Disturbance – 9:49pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 33-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

East/Trespassing – 12:01am: Officers responded to a report of trespassing involving a 41-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject once he is located.
