The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 2/9/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 2/12/2024, MPD received 1,204 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (222),East (215), Midtown (180), North (222), South (134), West (212), and Other (19). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

MIDTOWN: Check Person – 6:36 a.m. Officers responded to check the welfare of a subject on a parking ramp ledge. Officers able to convince the subject to come off the ledge safely. The subject was conveyed to a local hospital for an evaluation. Journey Mental Health plugged in. Emergency detention not supported. Officers disengaged.

EAST: Death Investigation – 8:33 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (88-year-old male). Nothing suspicious identified.

WEST: Death Investigation – 11:40 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (94-yaer-old female). Nothing suspicious identified.

WEST: Disturbance – 5:46 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 46-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.

MIDTOWN: Retail Theft – 7:26 p.m. Officers responded to a retail theft involving a 20-year-old female subject. The subject was cited for retail theft.

EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 8:26 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 27-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

MIDTOWN: Domestic Disturbance – 8:40 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 35-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery.

EAST: Stalking Complaint – 9:23 p.m. Officers responded to a stalking complaint involving a 25-year-old male subject. Probable cause developed to arrest/charge the subject.

EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 11:07 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 23-year-old male subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject once he is located.

SOUTH: Found Child – 12:06 a.m. A 6-year-old child was located outside unsupervised. No parent/guardian able to be contacted. Child Protective Services responded and placed the child in foster care. Investigation continuing.

SOUTH: Sexual Assault – 3:02 a.m. A victim reported that she may have been sexually assaulted. Investigation continuing.

WEST: Adult Arrested Person – 6:00 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 49-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for battery, disorderly conduct, a probation hold and an outstanding warrant.

CENTRAL: Disorderly Conduct – 7:43 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 41-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct (3 counts) and criminal damage to property.

WEST: Stolen Auto – 9:51 a.m. A vehicle was reported stolen. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed in the appropriate databases as stolen.

NORTH: Adult Arrested Person – 10:00 a.m. A traffic stop was conducted on a stolen vehicle. A 41-year-old male passenger jumped out of the vehicle and the vehicle/driver took off. The passenger was detained. The subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, bail jumping and outstanding warrants.  Vehicle/driver remain at-large.  

EAST: Drug Incident – 12:31 p.m. An 18-year-old male subject was arrested for possession with intent to deliver THC and improper use of prescription medications.

EAST: Disturbance – 5:21 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 51-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.

WEST: Missing/Runaway Juvenile – 5:24 p.m. A 12-year-old female was reported as missing/runaway. Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.

EAST: Assist EMS – 7:31 p.m. Officers responded, along with EMS, to a report of an unconscious subject who fell off a ledge. The subject was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Witnesses reported the subject was heavily intoxicated. Investigation continuing.

EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 10:36 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 46-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

CENTRAL: Disturbance – 1:19 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance. A 23-year-old male subject was arrested for battery (3 counts) and disorderly conduct. A 24-year-old male subject was arrested for strangulation, disorderly conduct and a probation hold.

WEST: Crash – 2:14 a.m. Officers responded to a crash on the Beltline. 2 vehicles involved, minor injuries sustained. A 26-year-old male subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence.

MIDTOWN: Check Person – 3:53 a.m. Officers received a request to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. The subject was contacted and found to have self-inflicted injuries. The subject was transported to a local hospital. Final outcome pending.

EAST: Intoxicated Driver – 4:29 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a 24-year-old male subject/driver slumped over in a vehicle at an intersection. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense).

SOUTH: Intoxicated Driver – 4:30 a.m. A 36-year-old male driver struck a curb and damaged his vehicle. The driver called for a tow.  The tow truck driver arrived and located the driver asleep in the vehicle. The subject was contacted by officers and found to be impaired. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense).

WEST: Domestic Disturbance – 5:20 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 27-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

SOUTH: Domestic Disturbance – 12:16 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 43-year-old male subject. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject for domestic disorderly conduct. A probation/parole hold also pending for the subject.

EAST: Child Abuse – 12:30 p.m. Officers responded to a report of child abuse. Child Protective Services notified. Investigation continuing.

WEST: Death Investigation – 1:53 p.m. Officers responded to a pulseless non-breathing subject (75-year-old male). Lifesaving measures attempted but not successful. Nothing suspicious identified.

CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 2:31 p.m. A 37-year-old female subject, wanted, was located and arrested for disorderly conduct.

MIDTOWN: Disturbance – 10:52 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a fight between two male subjects. It was reported that knives and a hammer were involved in the altercation. A 20-year-old male subject was arrested for domestic 2nd degree reckless endangering safety. A 44-year-old male subject was arrested for 2nd degree reckless endangering safety (2 counts), domestic disorderly conduct and domestic criminal damage to property.

EAST: Missing/Runaway Juvenile – 10:55 p.m. A 15-year-old female subject was reported as missing/runaway. Attempt to locate aired. The subject was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.

EAST: Recovered/Stolen Auto – 12:58 a.m. Officers observed an occupied vehicle which is confirmed to be stolen. Contact made with the two occupants. A 21-year-old female subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without consent, felony bail jumping and an outstanding warrant.

CENTRAL: Disturbance – 1:45 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 38-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, felony bail jumping (7 counts) and misdemeanor bail jumping (3 counts).
