The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 3/8/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 3/11/2024, MPD received 1,170 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (224),East (217), Midtown (200), North (200), South (120), West (179), and Other (30). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 8:14 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a 25-year-old male subject on the roof of the Orpheum Theatre. The subject was contacted and did not have a reason to be on the roof.  The subject was arrested on a probation/parole hold.

EAST: Death Investigation – 9:48 a.m. Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (55-year-old female). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.

NORTH: Sexual Assault of a Child – 10:15 a.m. Officers responded to a report of sexual assault of a child. Child Protective Services notified. Investigation continuing.

NORTH: Fight Call – 4:49 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Dryden Dr/Northport Dr for a fight occurring on a bus between students. A 12-year-old female and two 13-year-old female subjects received restorative justice referrals for disorderly conduct.

WEST: Intoxicated Driver – 5:48 p.m. A 40-year-old female driver got into a crash, gave the other driver her license and left the scene. Officers contacted the driver at her residence and found her to be impaired. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (4th offense). The driver was cited for hit-and-run.

MIDTOWN: Adult Arrested Person – 7:29 p.m. A 33-year-old male subject (wanted) was taken into custody after he attempted to flee from officers. The subject was arrested for the outstanding warrant, resisting and pending drug charges.

CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 7:58 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted. The driver (35-year old male) was released from the scene with traffic citations. The passenger (51-year-old male) was arrested for outstanding warrants.

MIDTOWN: Disturbance – 9:47 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 28-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.

SOUTH: Missing/Runaway Juvenile – 11:41 p.m. A 15-year-old female subject and a 13-year-old female subject were reported as missing/runaway. Attempt to locate aired. Both subjects listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases. *15-year-old located.

CENTRAL: Aggravated/Substantial Battery – 12:50 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a subject bleeding and screaming. A 48-year-old male subject was arrested for aggravated battery of an elderly person, false imprisonment, substantial battery, resisting and misdemeanor bail jumping. He was also cited for trespassing. A 53-year-old male subject was arrested for outstanding warrants, possession of drug paraphernalia and cited for trespassing. A 53-year-old male subject and a 62-year-old male subject were both cited for trespassing.

WEST: Adult Arrested Person – 10:31 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 22-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for an outstanding warrant, obstructing, resisting and disorderly conduct.

CENTRAL: Death Investigation – 10:48 a.m. Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject. Medical Examiner's office responded. Decedent has a history of illegal drug use. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.

NORTH: Sexual Assault – 12:41 p.m. A victim reported being inappropriately grabbed by a co-worker (43-year-old male). The subject was arrested for 4th degree sexual assault.

CENTRAL: Disturbance – 2:45 p.m. Officers observed a disturbance take place involving a 34-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and bail jumping.

MIDTOWN: Trespassing – 4:49 p.m. A 41-year-old male subject was arrested for trespassing, resisting and possession of drug paraphernalia.

CENTRAL: Disturbance – 5:45 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 24-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed, disorderly conduct, battery and an outstanding warrant.

EAST: Disturbance – 9:47 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance with a gun involved. A 24-year-old male subject was cited for carrying a concealed weapon.  The gun was seized. 

NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 10:09 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 46-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for first degree reckless endangering safety, strangulation, false imprisonment, battery and disorderly conduct while armed.

CENTRAL: Missing/Runaway Juvenile – 10:42 p.m. A 14-year-old male subject was reported as missing/runaway. Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.

CENTRAL: Aggravated/Substantial Battery – 12:24 a.m. Officers responded to a battery complaint involving a 22-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for substantial battery, criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct with a hate crime enhancer.

CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 12:30 a.m. A 32-year-old male subject (wanted) was arrested for outstanding warrants (5), resisting, obstructing, possession of MDMA, possession with intent to deliver cocaine and fentanyl and felony bail jumping (5 counts).

SOUTH: Domestic Disturbance – 3:26 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 33-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct while armed.

EAST: Intoxicated Driver – 4:25 a.m. Officers responded to a vehicle on its side in the median with no occupants. The 20-year-old female driver was found with injuries. The subject was conveyed to a local hospital and left with paperwork for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense).

EAST: Adult Arrested Person – 8:06 a.m. Officers responded to a 911 hang up with screaming being heard in the background. A 31-year-old male subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant. No disturbance found to have occurred.

EAST: Adult Arrested Person – 12:06 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 20-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for battery, domestic disorderly conduct and misdemeanor bail jumping (2 counts).

EAST: Death Investigation – 3:40 p.m. Officers made entry to a residence to check the welfare of a subject (63-year-old male). The subject was located deceased. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.

MIDTOWN: Disturbance – 3:46 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance. A 25-year-old female and a 39-year-old female were arrested for domestic battery.

EAST: Death Investigation – 4:12 p.m. Officers responded to a residence to check the welfare of a 81-year-old female subject. The subject was located deceased. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.

EAST: Adult Arrested Person – 5:54 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 17-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

SOUTH: Domestic Disturbance – 10:09 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 46-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery, disorderly conduct and physical abuse to a child.

SOUTH: Domestic Disturbance – 11:03 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 29-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for an outstanding warrant, domestic disorderly conduct and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense).

NORTH: Disturbance – 11:18 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 32-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.
