The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 06/08/2022 through 6:00 a.m. on 06/09/2022, MPD received 471 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (70),East (81), Midtown (76), North (88), South (48), West (66), and Other (42). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only from 7:46 p.m. to 10:39 p.m. due to calls for service.

CENTRAL: Check Person – 6:06 a.m.  Officers received a request to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject.  Attempt to locate aired.  Phone ping conducted.  Subject located in another jurisdiction by another law enforcement agency.

NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 7:03 a.m.  Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 36-year-old female suspect.  The suspect was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and battery.   

CENTRAL: Mental Health Conveyance – 11:09 a.m.  Officers responded to check the welfare of a subject.  The subject was placed into protective custody and conveyed to a local hospital.  Journey Mental Health plugged in.  The subject was subsequently conveyed to another facility where they were left in the care of medical staff. 

WEST: Crash – 12:11 p.m.  Officers responded to a hit-and-run crash.  The driver/subject was located at his residence.  The subject was conveyed to a local hospital and an emergency detention was sought/approved.  Final transport/outcome pending. 

SOUTH: Sexual Assault of a Child – 12:43 p.m.  Officers received information about a sexual assault of a child allegation.  Child Protective Services plugged in. 

MIDTOWN: Mental Health Conveyance – 5:24 p.m.  Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of an emergency detention.  Transportation pending.

WEST: Non-Residential Burglary – 3:46 p.m. Officers responded to a non-residential burglary with a safe stolen.  Safe located.  Investigation continuing. 

MIDTOWN: Theft from Auto – 7:28 p.m.  Two guns were reported stolen from a vehicle that was broken into.  Investigation continuing. 

NORTH: Stolen Auto – 7:32 p.m.  A vehicle was reported stolen.  Attempt to locate aired.  The vehicle was listed as missing in the appropriate databases. 

EAST: Weapons Violation – 8:08 p.m.  Officers responded to Acewood Blvd for reports of a subject in a vehicle shooting rounds at a subject walking.  Shell casings located.  No reported injuries or property damage reported at this time.  Investigation continuing. 

EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 8:11 p.m.  Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 23-year-old female suspect.  The suspect was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct while armed. 

EAST: Strong Armed Robbery – 10:43 p.m.  Officers responded to a strong armed robbery at a business.  Suspect(s) stole cash and pushed an employee.  Investigation continuing. 

CENTRAL: Domestic Disturbance – 11:12 p.m.  Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 31-year-old male suspect.  The suspect was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct while armed.
