The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 2/16/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 2/19/2024, MPD received 1,186 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (195),East (232), Midtown (196), North (215), South (118), West (202), and Other (28). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

MIDTOWN: Intoxicated Driver – 6:46 a.m. A traffic stop was conducted and the 37-year-old male driver was found to be impaired. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense).
SOUTH: Disturbance – 8:21 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a disturbance. Journey Mental Health consulted. A subject was transported to Winnebago for an emergency detention. Criminal charges also forthcoming.
CITY-WIDE: Recovered/Stolen Auto – 1:02 p.m. A vehicle was reported stolen. Attempt to locate aired. Vehicle tracked. Vehicle observed. Traffic stop attempted when 31-year-old male subject/driver got into the vehicle. The subject rammed a police vehicle. The subject attempted to flee on foot but K9 deployed and apprehended the subject. The subject was arrested for hit-and-run, resisting, obstructing, attempted eluding, 2nd degree reckless endangering safety (3 counts), operating a motor vehicle without consent and a parole hold.
EAST: Road Rage – 2:53 p.m. Officers responded to a report of road rage. A 26-year-old male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and cited for no driver's license. A 35-year-old male subject was cited for unsafe lane change.
CENTRAL: Drug Incident – 4:00 p.m. Officers responded to a report of drug dealing/use on property by a 48-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for trespassing. At the jail the subject was searched and fentanyl pills were located. Drug charge forthcoming.
MIDTOWN: Adult Arrested Person – 4:17 p.m. A 53-year-old male subject, wanted, was taken into custody and booked into jail for disorderly conduct with a hate crime enhancer.
NORTH: Traffic Arrest – 5:22 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted and a 19-year-old male subject was found to be wanted. The subject was arrested and transported to jail (child abuse and disorderly conduct).
EAST: Stolen Auto – 6:17 p.m. A vehicle was reported stolen. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases. *Vehicle located/recovered.
CENTRAL: Check Person – 6:44 p.m. Officers responded to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. The subject was conveyed to a local hospital. Journey Mental Health consulted. The subject was voluntarily admitted and officers disengaged.
WEST: Mental Health Response – 8:09 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance at a group home. A subject was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. Journey Mental Health plugged in. Subject voluntary at this time so officers disengaged.
WEST: Injured Person – 8:58 p.m. Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject with a gunshot wound to their leg. A 22-year-old male subject reported he was jumped by 3 unknown subjects and shot in the leg. Items stolen from the subject. Areas checked and no scene located. DOC placed a hold on the subject so he was arrested and transported to jail.
WEST: Domestic Disturbance – 9:45 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 63-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct while armed.
EAST: Sexual Assault – 10:46 p.m. Officers responded to a local hospital for a report of a sexual assault. Investigation continuing.

CENTRAL: Intoxicated Driver – 3:19 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a rollover crash. A 32-year-old male subject/driver was found to be impaired. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense).
CENTRAL: Residential Burglary – 8:48 a.m. Homeowner reported a residential burglary. A computer and a vehicle were stolen. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases. Investigation continuing.
WEST: Death Investigation – 10:22 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (32-year-old male). Nothing suspicious identified.
EAST: Drug Incident – 1:38 Officers responded to a report of a subject (35-year-old male) down in a parking lot. Naloxone administered. The subject was transported to a local hospital and given an order-in for possession of narcotic drugs and misdemeanor bail jumping.
EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 1:59 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 34-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject once he is located.
WEST: Domestic Disturbance – 4:31 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 52-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, threats to law enforcement and resisting.
EAST: Adult Arrested Person – 5:08 p.m. Officers responded to the mall for a 59-year-old male subject refusing to leave the premises. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct (2 counts), resisting, misdemeanor bail jumping and an outstanding warrant.
CENTRAL: Trespass – 6:17 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a 50-year-old male subject trespassing. The subject was arrested for resisting and threats to law enforcement.
CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 9:38 p.m. A fight was observed by officers. A 23-year-old male subject was arrested for battery to law enforcement, resisting and disorderly conduct.
NORTH: Disturbance – 10:47 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving two subjects. A 27-year-old male subject was arrested for resisting causing substantial bodily harm, disorderly conduct, discharging bodily fluids and threats to law enforcement. A 37-year-old male subject was arrested for obstructing and attempting to disarm an officer.

CENTRAL: Battery – 1:56 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a disturbance involving a 30-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for battery (3 counts), disorderly conduct, resisting and trespassing.
MIDTOWN: Adult Arrested Person – 4:30 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a disturbance involving a 39-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.
NORTH: Armed Robbery – 5:16 a.m. An Uber driver reported to have been robbed. Investigation continuing.
EAST: Adult Arrested Person – 8:19 a.m. A 54-year-old male subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
NORTH: Check Area – 9:45 a.m. Officers responded to reports of shots fired. A disturbance was found to have taken place and a 24-year-old male subject (not on scene) reportedly fired several shots into the air. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject once he is located.
MIDTOWN: Trespassing – 3:27 p.m. Officers responded to a report of trespassing by a 41-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested and conveyed to jail to post on the trespassing citation.
CENTRAL: Death Investigation – 6:12 p.m. Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (27-year-old male). Evidence of drug use on scene. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time. Autopsy pending.
NORTH: Drug Incident – 6:18 p.m. A 39-year-old male subject showed up at the North District experiencing a drug overdose. Officers gave the subject several sternum rubs which were successful. Drugs were located on the subject. The subject was arrested for possession with intent to deliver marijuana.
CENTRAL: Disturbance – 7:40 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 32-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.
EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 8:18 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 37-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery and disorderly conduct.
CENTRAL: Drug Incident – 8:22 p.m. A 27-year-old female subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting and unlawfully possession of prescription pills. A 48-year-old female subject was also arrested for drug-related charges.
EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 10:38 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 25-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery and disorderly conduct.
CENTRAL: Domestic Disturbance – 10:41 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 37-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject once he is located.
EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 11:22 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 70-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery and disorderly conduct. A 59-year-old female subject was arrested for a probation violation.
NORTH: Adult Arrested Person – 11:29 p.m. Officers responded to a 911 disconnect and located a disturbance. A 24-year-old male subject was arrested for resisting, outstanding warrants and felony bail jumping (3 counts).
