The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 6/25/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 6/26/2025, MPD received 492 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (86),East (114), Midtown (78), North (71), South (56), West (73), and Other (14). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

West/Domestic Disturbance – 4:45am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 41-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 5am: Officers responded to a report of a 33-year-old male subject openly carrying a machete on their hip. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed and misdemeanor bail jumping (2 counts).
Central/Disturbance – 5:10am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 30-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for criminal damage to property.
Midtown/Domestic Disturbance – 7:28am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 53-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
South/Crash – 1:42pm: Officers responded to a vehicle vs. bicyclist crash. The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital for treatment (non-life threatening injuries). The bicyclist was cited for red signal violation.
East/Disturbance – 3:33pm: Officers responded to a report of a stabbing. The victim sustained a cut to their hand. The victim was treated on scene by EMS. The victim was not cooperative with officers. Suspect remains at-large. Investigation continuing.
Central/Battery – 4:56pm: Officers responded, along with Adult Protective Services, to a report of elder abuse. Victim contacted. Suspect, a caretaker, was terminated from employment. Safety plan in place. Investigation continuing.
West/Stalking Complaint – 5:20pm: A victim reported being stalked at their workplace. Investigation continuing.
Midtown/Mental Health Conveyance – 7:17pm: Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of an emergency detention. Transport to Winnebago pending.
East/Armed Robbery – 8:17pm: Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery. There was a delay in this incident being reported to the police. Several suspects identified by the victim who gave varying accounts of what occurred. Investigation continuing.
Central/Check Person – 8:37pm: Officers responded to a report of a subject threatening others with a knife. Two subjects (38-year-old male and 37-year-old male) contacted. Both subjects uncooperative with officers. Subjects detained. Knife located/recovered. The 37-year-old was arrested for obstructing. The other male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed (2 counts), resisting, and failure to comply with officers attempting to take someone into custody. He was also issued a citation for trespassing.
Central/Check Person – 10:35pm: Officers responded to a report of a 36-year-old male subject screaming, punching walls, and throwing glass bottles on S. Broom Street. Subject contacted and he is uncooperative with officers. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting.
