The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 2/23/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 2/26/2024, MPD received 1,251 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (217),East (216), Midtown (224), North (231), South (123), West (203), and Other (37). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

SOUTH: Sexual Assault of a Child – 6:41 a.m. Officers responded to a sexual assault of a child report. Suspect identified but not yet contacted. Investigation continuing. *17-year-old male subject was arrested on a probation/parole hold.

SOUTH: Crash – 6:48 a.m. Officers responded to a 3-vehicle crash (Olin/John Nolen). A subject was transported to a local hospital with injuries. A driver received citations for reckless driving, imprudent speed and yellow signal violation.

WEST: Disturbance – 9:15 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 46-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for battery, disorderly conduct and bail jumping.

MIDTOWN: Child Abuse – 10:09 a.m. Officers responded to a report of child abuse where a young child was found to have cocaine in their system. Child Protective Services plugged in. Investigation continuing.

CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 11:03 a.m. A 47-year-old male subject was arrested for trespassing, disorderly conduct and resisting causing soft tissue injury.

EAST: Traffic Arrest – 1:15 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted. A 46-year-old female subject was arrested for possession of THC with intent to deliver and felony bail jumping.

EAST: Strong Armed Robbery – 5:17 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a caller stating another subject physically assaulted them. The 39-year-old male subject ripped the purse from the victim and took off. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject once he is located.

EAST: Disturbance – 11:11 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 28-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for trespassing and resisting.

Priority calls for service from 10:32 a.m. to 12:52 p.m. due to calls for service.

CENTRAL: Death Investigation – 1:42 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject (62-year-old female). Subject pronounced deceased. Nothing suspicious identified.

EAST: Disturbance – 6:07 a.m. Officers responded to a 911 call with lots of yelling in the background. A 17-year-old male subject was arrested for battery and criminal damage to property. Additional charges may be forthcoming.

EAST: Crash – 6:11 a.m. Officers responded to a car vs. pole crash with no driver on scene. Investigation continuing.

SOUTH: Crash – 6:46 a.m. Officers responded to a car vs. building crash. Driver not on scene when officers arrived. Driver contacted who stated he started the car to warm up and the vehicle must have rolled due to a manual transmission.

MIDTOWN: Missing Child – 9:53 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a 10-year-old autistic child missing. Numerous resources utilized. The subject was located safe.

EAST: Battery – 1:50 p.m. Officers responded to a battery complaint involving a 17-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct.

EAST: Adult Arrested Person – 4:37 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 53-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for trespassing, resisting, misdemeanor bail jumping (3 counts) and felony bail jumping (3 counts).

SOUTH: Adult Arrested Person – 7:44 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a 24-year-old male subject intoxicated and causing a disturbance. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, an active warrant and a probation/parole hold.

WEST: Disturbance – 9:48 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 25-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct.

SOUTH: Check Property – 11:46 p.m. Officers responded to N. Sunnyvale Lane for reports of shots fired. Areas checked. No evidence of shots fired were located.

Priority calls only from 2:17 a.m. to 6:06 a.m. due to calls for service.

EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 12:50 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 28-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct while armed.

CENTRAL: Missing Adult – 2:05 a.m. A 21-year-old female subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases.

EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 6:36 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 37-year-old male subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject. *Subject later located and arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

SOUTH: Intoxicated Driver – 7:49 a.m. A 25-year-old female subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense).

EAST: Missing Adult – 12:13 p.m. A 24-year-old male subject was reported as missing from a group home. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. The subject was located safe.

CENTRAL: Intoxicated Driver – 2:38 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a driver/vehicle who struck two parked vehicles. The driver (45-year-old female) was contacted and found to be impaired. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (4th offense) and failure to install IID as required.

EAST: Intoxicated Driver – 5:02 p.m. Officers responded to a rollover crash. The driver was transported to a local hospital and left in the care of medical staff. The driver (20-year-old male subject) was cited for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense), failure to maintain control and underage use of alcohol. 

CENTRAL: Disturbance – 8:20 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 58-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct (with a hate crime enhancer), disorderly conduct and intimidation of a victim.

WEST: Disturbance – 10:05 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 27-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery and domestic disorderly conduct.

2/26

NORTH: Disturbance – 1:10 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 38-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and felony bail jumping.

SOUTH: Check Person – 3:20 a.m. A subject arrived at the south police district requesting help. The subject was transported to a local hospital and left in the care of medical staff. Officers disengaged.
