The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 11/08/2022 through 6:00 a.m. on 11/09/2022, MPD received 379 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (63),East (64), Midtown (72), North (65), South (36), West (53), and Other (26). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

11/08

NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 9:06 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 35-year-old male suspect.  The suspect was arrested for domestic battery. 

EAST: Mental Health Conveyance – 11:28 a.m. Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject.  The subject was contacted and conveyed to a local hospital for an evaluation.  Emergency detention sought and approved.  The subject was admitted to the local hospital and officers disengaged. 

CENTRAL: Sexual Assault – 1:37 p.m. A victim reported being sexually assaulted.  Investigation continuing. 

MIDTOWN: Crash – 2:01 p.m. Officers responded to a crash with subjects fleeing on foot.  No injuries reported.  The suspect vehicle was determined to be stolen.  Areas checked and two suspects (15-year-old male and 17-year-old male) located and detained.  The 17-year-old was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without consent/passenger and bail jumping (2 counts).  The 15-year-old was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without consent.  The other subjects who fled remain at-large. 

WEST: Sexual Assault – 2:12 p.m. A victim reported being sexually assaulted.  Investigation continuing. 

CENTRAL: Residential Burglary – 3:45 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a residential burglary. Items missing/stolen.    

CENTRAL: Missing Adult – 7:13 p.m. A 38-year-old female was reported as missing.  Attempt to locate aired.  The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases.  **Subject located safe and no concerns identified. 

NORTH: Child Abuse – 9:50 p.m. Officers responded to a report of child abuse.  A 35-year-old female was arrested for physical abuse to a child, intimidation of a victim (misdemeanor), disorderly conduct, domestic disorderly conduct and a probation hold.

WEST: Check Person – 9:50 p.m.  Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject.  Contact made and the subject was taken into protective custody.  Journey Mental Health consulted and an emergency detention was not supported.  Safety plan developed and officers disengaged.

CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 12:13 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 26-year-old male suspect.  The suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct, threats to law enforcement and felony bail jumping (2 counts).
