The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 5/5/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 5/6/2025, MPD received 448 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (67),East (107), Midtown (62), North (85), South (56), West (66), and Other (5). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

North/Sexual Assault of a Child – 12:22pm: Officers received information about a possible sexual assault of a child. Investigation continuing.
East/Disturbance – 12:48pm: A 45-year-old male subject was cited earlier in the day for disorderly conduct for screaming/yelling outside of another subject's residence. Later in the day the subject was doing the same thing. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and transported to jail.
East/Intoxicated Driver – 12:55pm: Officers responded to a report of a subject (36-year-old male) down in a parking lot. Officers located the subject behind the wheel of a vehicle attempting to leave. Contact attempted. The subject appeared to be leaving the lot and ignoring officers' commands to stop. An officer opened the door and the subject was detained. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense), possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a probation/parole violation.
Central/Domestic Disturbance – 10:17pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 30-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

Central/Domestic Disturbance – 2:24am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 26-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct (2 counts), battery (3 counts), criminal damage to property, and 2nd degree reckless endangering safety.
