The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 4/19/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 4/22/2024, MPD received 1,337 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (260),East (257), Midtown (219), North (205), South (156), West (203), and Other (37). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only from 8:01pm-9:01pm due to calls for service.

North/Adult Arrested Person – 4:13am: A 41-year-old female subject (wanted) was taken into custody for numerous warrants, obstruction and drug-related charges.

South/Disturbance – 6:30am: Officers responded to a report of a 61-year-old male subject intoxicated/high, slapping himself and bothering customers at a convenience store. The subject was arrested on a parole violation.

Central/Domestic Disturbance – 4:06pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 19-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery, domestic disorderly conduct, obstructing and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 6:25pm: A 42-year-old female subject (wanted) was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant, possession of cocaine and bail jumping (9 counts).

North/Adult Arrested Person – 7:08pm: A 28-year-old male subject (wanted) was taken into custody on two outstanding warrants, resisting, possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony bail jumping.

East/Crash – 7:17pm: Officers responded to a vehicle vs. light pole crash. The male driver/subject was conveyed to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Charges forthcoming for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense) and open intoxicants in a vehicle.

West/Missing Adult – 8:13pm: A 24-year-old male subject was reported as missing from his group home. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. Phone pinged. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases. *Subject located.

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 11:22pm: A traffic stop was attempted and the driver/subject (24-year-old male) fled. The subject was apprehended a short time later. A 23-year-old male passenger/subject was found to have a gun under his seat. Charges established for both subjects who were arrested.

North/Residential Burglary – 12:07am: Officers responded to a theft in progress involving a 51-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for burglary, resisting and a probation/parole warrant.

Central/Disturbance – 2:07am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 21-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting.

Midtown/Mental Health Response – 2:50am: Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of an emergency detention. Journey Mental Health plugged in. Third-party utilized for transportation of subject to Winnebago.

West/Domestic Disturbance – 8:26am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 32-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic substantial battery, domestic criminal damage to property, domestic disorderly conduct and misdemeanor bail jumping.

South/Domestic Disturbance – 8:26am: Officers investigated a domestic disturbance. A 23-year-old male subject was arrested for an outstanding warrant and domestic disorderly conduct. Probable cause was developed to arrest a 20-year-old male subject once he is located. Investigation continuing.

Midtown/Disturbance – 10am: Officers responded to a local hospital for a 19-year-old male subject causing a disturbance. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, felony bail jumping and unlawful trespass to health care facility.

North/Non-Residential Burglary – 1:53pm: Officers responded to a report of a burglary at an elementary school. A 14-year-old male subject was arrested for burglary and criminal damage to property.

West/Disturbance – 3:08pm: Officers responded to a disturbance. A 25-year-old female subject was arrested for resisting/obstructing, a probation violation and cited for trespassing. A 29-year-old male subject was cited for trespassing and resisting/obstructing.

East/Runaway Juvenile – 3:44pm: A 14-year-old female was reported as a runaway from her foster home. Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as a runaway in the appropriate databases.

South/Recovered Stolen Auto – 3:54pm: WI State Patrol conducted a traffic stop and the vehicle came back as stolen from our community. A 21-year-old male subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without consent. MPD recovered the stolen auto.

North/Missing Adult – 5:07pm: A 39-year-old male subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. The subject was entered as missing in the appropriate databases.

Intoxicated Driver – 6:23pm: Officers responded to multiple reports of a road rage incident. A 27-year-old female driver/subject involved was found to be impaired. She refused field sobriety tests. The subject was transported to a local hospital for a warrant blood draw. The subject resisted officers. Charges forthcoming. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense), disorderly conduct and resisting. She was also cited for reckless driving and endangering safety.

Midtown/Check Person – 8:59pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. The subject was contacted and conveyed to a local hospital where they were voluntarily admitted.

South/Disturbance – 10:32pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 35-year-old male subject. The subject, with 4 outstanding warrants, was taken into custody. Charges forthcoming.

North/Traffic Arrest – 11:28pm: Officers performed a traffic stop on a driver/vehicle heading the wrong direction. A 38-year-old male subject and a 35-year-old male subject were both found with illegal drugs. Both subjects are out on parole/bail for drug-related offenses. Both subjects arrested.

Midtown/Injured Person – 2:05am: Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject who came in with a stab wound to their abdomen. Victim provided some information to officers before she went into surgery. Incident Report on MPD's website completed. Investigation continuing.

Midtown/Traffic – 6:30am: An officer conducted proactive traffic on the eastbound Beltline. 3 drivers were pulled over for going 93mph, 94mph and 93mph.  All drivers received citations.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 8:54am: A 45-year-old male subject (wanted) was taken into custody for outstanding warrants.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 3:27pm: Officers responded to a possible overdose call. A 33-year-old male subject was arrested for possession of heroin, possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.

North/Mental Health Response – 6:40pm: An intoxicated subject cut themselves and was transported to a local hospital. Journey Mental Health consulted. Subject left in the care of medical staff for now and officers disengaged.

Midtown/Fire Investigation – 7:45pm: Officers responded, along with MFD, to a report of a fully engulfed house fire. Officers assisted with evacuating residents in the area. Severe damage to the home sustained. Several pets were rescued from the home. No people were in the home. Investigation continuing.

South/Adult Arrested Person – 8:30pm: A 36-year-old male subject (wanted) was arrested and transported to jail.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 9:34pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 24-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and battery.

North/Adult Arrested Person – 2:54am: Officers responded to a trespass complaint involving a 41-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for trespassing and an outstanding warrant.
