The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 5/19/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 5/20/2025, MPD received 457 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (65),East (98), Midtown (75), North (84), South (59), West (66), and Other (10). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 12:41pm: A 42-year-old female subject was arrested for theft, opening letters, and possession of schedule I and II narcotics.
Midtown/Mental Health Conveyance – 1:19pm: A subject was placed into protective custody for a Chapter 51 return. The subject was medically cleared at a local hospital and subsequently transported to Winnebago.
Central/Death Investigation – 2:42pm: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (35-year-old male). Evidence of drug use observed. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
South/Domestic Disturbance – 3:09pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 27-year-ole female subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
South/Death Investigation – 6:16pm: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (45-year-old female). Decedent had a history of health/medical concerns. Nothing suspicious identified.

East/Disturbance – 2:44am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 42-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting.
South/Sexual Assault of a Child – 3:17am: Officers responded to a local hospital for a report of sexual assault of a child. Investigation continuing.
