The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 6/24/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 6/25/2025, MPD received 470 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (75),East (93), Midtown (74), North (83), South (66), West (71), and Other (8). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Midtown/Check Person – 4:36am: Officers responded to check the welfare of a subject who was found without clothing in a parking garage. The subject was transported to a local hospital. The subject did not know who they were. Subject identified. Family member contacted. The subject reportedly has a history of mental illness. Local mental health resources consulted. No grounds for any legal intervention at this time. Officers disengaged. *Emergency detention sought/approved. The subject was placed at a local facility.

South/Death Investigation – 7:48am: Officers and EMS responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject (83-year-old male). Lifesaving measures attempted but were not successful. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 8:46am: Officers responded to a report that a wanted subject (17-year-old male) was on scene. The subject was taken into custody and transported to jail on the following warrants: possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting/obstructing, and felony bail jumping.

East/Traffic Arrest – 5:05pm: A traffic stop was conducted. The driver/subject (38-year-old male) was semi-cooperative during the initial contact but became resistant when asked to exit the vehicle. A search incident to arrest yielded a handgun and a knife. The subject was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon and resisting.

East/Check Person – 5:09pm: Officers responded to a report of a suicidal subject with a knife. Contact is made with the subject who voluntarily accepts help at a local hospital. Officers disengaged.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 6:18pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 32-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct while armed.

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 8:15pm: Officers responded to a report of a 61-year-old male subject who broke into a vehicle and was rummaging through it. The subject was arrested for entry into a locked vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, and criminal damage to property.

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 9:40pm: Officers responded to a report of a 38-year-old female subject entering unlocked vehicles and rummaging through them. The subject was arrested for theft, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony bail jumping (5 counts), and trespass to vehicle.

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 10:51pm: An officer made contact with a 58-year-old male subject who was riding his bicycle without proper lights. The subject was confrontational with the officer. The subject fled on foot. The subject was apprehended. The subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting causing soft tissue injury, and cited for improper lights.

East/Strong Armed Robbery – 11:14pm: A victim reported being physically assaulted by several subjects while waiting at a bus stop. The victim reported having cash and alcohol stolen from them. Investigation continuing.

East/Traffic Arrest – 11:45pm: A traffic stop was attempted. The driver/subject (44-year-old male) fled. The driver eventually stopped and was taken into custody. Search incident to arrest yielded drugs and drug paraphernalia. The subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cocaine, and refusal to stop.

Priority calls only from 5:33am to 7:49am due to calls for service.

Central/Domestic Disturbance – 12:22am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 59-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct (2 counts), battery, and domestic battery.

West/Child Abuse – 1:03am: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance.  Probable cause was developed to arrest a 23-year-old male subject, who remains at-large. Charges – physical abuse to a child, disorderly conduct, and a probation hold.

East/Recovered Stolen Auto – 1:36am: A stolen vehicle was located/recovered. Registered owner notified. Investigation continuing.
