The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 03/10/2023 through 6:00 a.m. on 03/13/2023, MPD received 1,099 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (203), East (237), Midtown (162), North (237), South (115), West (107), and Other (38). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

03/10

Priority calls only from 5:58 p.m. to 9:05 p.m. due to calls for service.

NORTH: Traffic Arrest – 2:17 a.m.  Officers conducted a traffic stop and observed drugs in plain view.  A search of the vehicle yielded two firearms.  A 23-year-old male subject was charged with felon in possession of a firearm, receiving stolen property and resisting.

CENTRAL: Disturbance – 5:29 a.m.  Officers responded to a business where the 38-year-old male subject was intoxicated and trying to sell drugs to staff.  The subject was charged with disorderly conduct, possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl, trespass, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

WEST: Domestic Disturbance – 7:04 a.m.  Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 34-year-old male subject.  The subject was charged with domestic battery.

EAST: Residential Burglary – 12:55 p.m.  Officers responded to a residence where the victim reported that a window was smashed and property was damaged.  Officers developed probable cause to arrest a 44-year-old female subject for burglary and damage to property (not on scene). 

MIDTOWN: Runaway Juvenile – 2:42 p.m.  A mother reported her 14-year-old daughter had run away. Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases. An off-duty officer observed the juvenile and officers responded to return her to her residence.

EAST: Disturbance – 5:03 p.m.  Officers made contact with a 43-year-old female subject who assaulted a Badger Bus driver, spit on people and exposed herself.  The subject was arrested for 2nd degree reckless endangering safety, disorderly conduct, discharging bodily fluids at public safety worker, and lewd and lascivious behavior.

EAST: Fight – 5:55 p.m.  Officers responded to a report of a fight and several vehicles traveling at high rates of speed down Milwaukee St.  One involved subject (23-year-old female) reported two other subjects (18-year-old male and 17-year-old female) attacked and chased her and stole a safe from her residence.  The male subject reported that the 23-year-old suspect pistol whipped him during an argument.  Investigation continuing.

MIDTOWN: Domestic Disturbance – 8:06 p.m.  Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 26-year-old male subject.  The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, damage to property and resisting.

CENTRAL: Suspicious Person – 9:15 p.m.  A massage therapist reported that a subject had engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior at the business.  The subject was reportedly pacing across the street from the business after it had closed.  Investigation continuing.

Priority calls only from 5:59 p.m. to 6:55 p.m. due to calls for service.

CENTRAL: Drug Incident/Investigation – 1:37 a.m.  Officers observed a suspicious vehicle that was trespassing in a parking lot.  The occupant of the vehicle, a 43-year-old male subject, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent cocaine and fentanyl, possession of drug paraphernalia, and trespassing.

CENTRAL: Disturbance – 3:39 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 28-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, trespass, resisting, and threats to law enforcement.

NORTH: Check Area – 4:25 a.m.  Officers responded to the 2500 block of Monterey Dr where multiple callers reported hearing the sound of shots fired and a vehicle leaving at a high rate of speed.  Officers located fired shell casings in the area.  There were no reports of damaged property or injured persons.

CENTRAL:  Intoxicated Person – 5:10 a.m.  Officers responded to the corner of W Dayton St and State St for a subject who was highly intoxicated and had minor facial injuries.  The subject was transported to the hospital and left in the care of a family member.

WEST: Adult Arrested Person – 8:27 a.m.  Officers in the 7900 block of Tree Ln observed a wanted 39-year-old female subject, who was taken into custody without incident.

EAST: Check Person – 10:37 a.m. Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. The subject was conveyed to a local hospital and voluntarily admitted.

EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 11:16 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 22-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject once he is located.

EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 11:17 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 24-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject once he is located.

MIDTOWN: Missing/Runaway Juvenile – 1:46 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a missing/runaway juvenile (14-year-old female). Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.

NORTH: Adult Arrested Person – 1:53 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a 31-year-old male subject experiencing a drug overdose. Naloxone was administered and the subject was revived. The subject was arrested for possession of cocaine and three outstanding warrants.

CENTRAL: Mental Health Conveyance – 4:11 p.m. A subject, under a Chapter 51 return, was observed. The subject was conveyed to a local hospital for a medical clearance.  The subject will be conveyed to Winnebago upon receiving a medical clearance. *Transport to Winnebago completed.  

NORTH: Found Person – 5:07 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a found child with no shoes and only a t-shirt and shorts on. The child made allegations of abuse at home. Child Protective Services contacted. No charges substantiated at this time.

CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 3:27 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person. A 36-year-old male subject was arrested for trespassing and disorderly conduct.

CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 4:12 a.m. Three subjects (36-year-old female, 28-year-old male and 33-year-old male) were arrested on numerous charges (trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia and bail jumping).

EAST: Intoxicated Driver – 5:30 a.m. A 39-year-old male subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence with a passenger under the age of 16.

CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 12:07 a.m.  A wanted subject (24-year-old male) was observed and taken into custody on numerous charges.

MIDTOWN: Mental Health Conveyance – 1:59 p.m. Journey Mental Health requested officers to convey a subject to a local hospital. The subject was subsequently transported to Winnebago.

CENTRAL: Check Person – 3:14 p.m. Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. A 43-year-old male subject was determined to have outstanding warrants.  The subject was transported to jail for the warrants and a new charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing.

EAST: Battery – 3:32 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a battery involving a 55-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for battery, disorderly conduct (2 counts), felony bail jumping (2 counts), misdemeanor bail jumping (2 counts) and numerous outstanding warrants.

WEST: Check Person – 7:17 p.m. Officers responded to a subject who was causing himself self-harm. The subject was contacted and conveyed to a local hospital. Journey Mental Health plugged in. Final outcome pending.

NORTH: Disturbance – 7:45 p.m. Two subjects were walking when a verbal disturbance occurred with occupants in a vehicle. A gun was displayed by one of the subjects in the vehicle. Investigation continuing.

WEST: Domestic Disturbance – 8:42 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 20-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct while armed.

EAST: Adult Arrested Person – 12:39 a.m. A traffic stop was conducted. A 31-year-old female subject was arrested for possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony bail jumping.
